Don't see any reason to cut him before TC. If we draft a QB, then I see the newbie and Lindley fighting it out for #3. But it's possible that a team loses a QB in TC, due to injury, and then Hoyer might have value.

Yup! He has little trade value unless or until another team has injuries at quarterback and as you said, he is insurance if CP or Stanton get hurt.

Last season should have taught the Cardinals the stupidity of not having decent quarterback depth.

I won't believe it until Tim Ring tweets it. Even then I'm 95% certain it won't happen.
