Why it took to game 4 to get these guys in there I have no idea! But now that they are there, here we come! I just hope Josh and the passing game can come around. Hey, what is it but 2 more weeks until Boldin's back! Wahoo!!!

I love you both

No kidding... this was a great move by the coaches and I was glad to see it come. Our running game looked good, McCown is still making passes, even if they are not for TDs... today our offense looked good enough to get wins for our amazing defense and it starts on that line!

Woo!

Hopefully the play of the OL will help McCown gain some confidence. Shelton really looked good and where did Bridges come from? Not bad at all.

The offense starting moving the ball as soon as the right side of the O-line was upgraded. Actual holes for the RB to run through. Enough time for McCown to actuall look down field to throw the ball. It seems all of us coach potatoes had a clue about this one since we all were screaming to get Clement and Spikes (especially) off the field.

The reason it took 4 games is beacuse LJ has been injured.I'm sure he and Bridges have been working together in practice so when Lj got healthy, they went in as a tandem.

It was a stupid move by coaches to NOT get them into the OL and sit Clement and Spikes until game 4. The fans were screaming for the change and it was obvious the right side of the OL was pathetic.

Shelton maybe, but Spikes should have been yanked right after the first game...

Lets not get nasty. The kid wanted it bad and may be back someday. There is no doubt that the right side was our biggest single problem. We have many others but this is the top. Shelton couldn't really play till he got over the back problem. Hard to push guys when your back is good let alone hurting. I don't know much about the other guy and was pleasantly surprised when both AC and Spikes came out together. I think we have seen the end of both by seasons end.

I think Green got them into the lineup as soon as he thought they were ready.

First LJ's back needed to heal and then since he's playing a new position, they needed a week to 10 days to practice at it. Why put in LJ and let him get embarressed by putting him into the RT spot with little to no practice. Now, week 4, he's practiced and mentally ready to give RT his best shot.

I think it was the right call.

It was great to hear the fans chanting "Shelton! Shelton!" after the game.

I tell you...our season ticket holders know their stuff!

Sheldon did a real nice job out their today. But, Bridges was just fair. He got run over by his defender on a least three occasions, when I was focusing on his side of the line. Luckily, on one of them Smith found a hole on the left side and mad a decent run. A couple other times Bridges handled his assignment fairly well. Freddie was the same ole Freddie as far as blocking.
I was impressed by Shelton though.
Maybe, Clement at RG might be an idea.

Until I rewatch the film, I'll assume you're right.

But regardless, the important thing is that as soon as the two of them entered the game and shook the rust off, you could see instant stability.

Running plays were no longer blown up. McCown wasn't going 1...duck! And holes were starting to be opened up for Emmitt and Hambrick.

I recall a very rich guy telling me that, whenever he saw more women than usual wearing red stockings, he bought and when he saw fewer red-stockinged women than usual he sold. He observed: "I don't know why this is so. I just know that it works."

Clue - Spikes plus Clement = Zoo. Shelton plus Bridges = Sanity.

There it is.

he bought what? red stockings? What is a rich guy doing with red stockings. And how the heck would he sell worn stockings. Not in which is the least of the problems that it was worn by a man!.

EDIT: oh and what is the average of women wearing red stockings. I have never seen 1 I dont think. Thi slogic is full of holes here.
