We' be well-advised to check the 10th - 20th ranked receivers on our position board for 6-2+ 220+ lb receivers with under 4.55 speed.

My perception is that this draft is almost as deep in receivers who can actually catch the ball as it is in quality corners.

I get the growing sense that we'll emphasize defense in the first 2 rounds. We need receiving help but specifically big, physical receiving help, but have other priorities to address earlier.

Note - Cardinal mock draft flavor of the month is John Ross. He's very fast but we already have JJ and Smoke. We don't have (a successful version of) Floyd. If we don't spend a pick on M Williams, C Davis or Howard (who could also fill the Floyd role) look for us to grab a big guy with ball skills in a mid-round.

OK. Then the Cardinals are set. You are not getting much faster than John Brown and JJ Nelson.

If the Cardinals want a #2 that plays special teams, they have Jaron Brown.

If the Cardinals want #2 with speed then they have John Brown, and JJ Nelson.

Me? If I am running the team, I want a larger, more physical receiver, with great hands, but I do not run the team, so its what the Cardinals decide.

We have a stud RB and two speedsters plus Ellington to stretch the field. Larry and Quan could do amazing things in this offense. I don't believe it will happen but if it did I would pull out the Boldin jersey in a heartbeat.
ok this one got me. 4 WR JJ Nelson, John Brown outside, Fitz & Boldin inside, Johnson single back. Who are you going to cover?

If this is our last run why not bring Boldin back for a year.

If we don't take a pass catcher in round one, what would everyone's opinion be of Evan Engram? He actually reminds me a lot of what Fitz has been like the last couple yrs. He has size, speed and gets open!!

Look at JuJu Smith Shuster's combine comp on NFL.com.

I remember watching him at SC two years ago and thinking... Boy, he has a lot the same traits as young Q. Would love to see that guy in Cards uniform.

My fear is, you have to select him at 45 or he'll be long gone. Can't wait until the 3rd round.

If you don't land him another guy to look at is Ardarius Stewart. Stewart would be BA's equivalent to Hines Ward and can be physical like Boldin.

If for some reason Chris Godwin is still there in the 3rd round I think the Cardinals should move up to get him. He is the type of big body receiver they need. 6'-1" 208 lbs. 4.42 in the 40, and 4.00 sec in the short shuttle. Odds are he's gone in the 2nd round. If they are thinking about WR in round 2 this guy will be a steal.

I REALLY wanted him to go back to school, but yeah, I agree with you on Godwin. This kid's really good.

I think most of us would love to have Boldin back. We need another receiver badly so signing him would make a lot of sense but it does take both parties. Boldin has to want to come back and for a reasonable contract.

Yeah, I think if he stayed in school he would have been a top 3 WR in the 2018 draft.

Interesting that we only have one guy in the 80s.

I think you're onto something. I also think we should take a good look at Godwin at #45 or #77.

Yep, i thought it was interesting that last year the only Cardinals WRs to play or catch a pass in the regular season were #10-#16!

10 Golden
11 Fitz
12 Brown
13 Brown
14 JJ
15 Floyd
16 Ross
