It's time to recruit and sign CC to come back home! Yes, we know he is going to be 39 this year.

I don't have access to most of the grading systems (PFF, etc.) but from what I can tell, he has graded out as one of the better DL with an overall PFF grade of 82.3 which includes 66.2 in pass and 85.9 in run defense. Some ratings have him with a 87.5 run grade with a pass-rush grade of 74.3. By far anything we've had in a while.

What does everyone think? I think it would be worth it to bring him in and let him lead the new drafted players we are going to pick up on the DL.

Absolutely. We should have never let him leave. Literally every year we have said "he's getting too old"...and then he grades out as what would have been our #1 d Lineman anyway.

We let Calais leave because he thought he was overpaid...and he might have actually out performed his contract every single year since then.

Hes put up 50+ sacks since he left....as a power DE/DT ....and he would be the Cardinals all time leader in sacks had he stayed. Shoot....he didn't even get to play along side chandler jones in their prime...Calais might have been closer to 130+ sacks had he stayed

We seem to play the contract game, not the talent game.

Secure the talent. Don't be afraid to pay market value to do so.

Maybe you make a mistake, but you aren't sitting with capspace wondering what if.

Can you imagine Calais coaching up the younger guys. Sweat and Baron on the outside with Robinson and Campbell with Collins, Collier, Jones and Nichols. Not too bad!
If we could get Calais and DROB together for a year it might be big for DROB's career. I know i might be overblowing the "mentor" role...but I honestly couldnt think of a better mentor for a young player, ecspecially a Dlineman than Calais Campbell. He is the definition of a pro...super well respected on and off the field, was man of the year at one point if I remember. I have actually met him 2 times in person and he was a very kind guy who took time to chat with the fans.

I want him back if nothing else than I want him associated with the organization after he retires.

The other reason I will alwasy really love Calais is he WANTED to stay in AZ. We got to see that behind the scenes with his agent where he was basically saying "call the cardinals and ask if they will even come close".

Again...he went out and damn near won DPOY after that...so for him to have been one of a handful of players in the entire HISTORY of the PHX/AZ Cardinals that actually wanted to sign a big contract here rather than bail....and we had the nerve to say "no thanks" to one of the best players and locker room guys of the last 20 years is insane to me...and I will never get over it.

Letting Warner go to visit the 49ers after the superbowl was one of the only other cheapskate moves I just can't forgive.

Sorry to keep flooding this thread...but this is the type of thing we need to try and go viral on the teams social media. We as fans, want to bring Calais back to play here and to retire as a Cardinal. It may sound dumb...but if Calais heres that...and hes looking at 1 more year, maybe it makes an impact.

He's a humble guy. Maybe he doesnt realize how well liked and remembered he is in AZ?? I would put him in our ring of honor for sure! Yes about 1/2 his stats came elsewhere...but he might end up being a HOFer

TOTALLY with it. Some of it may be nostalgia, but a good chunk of it is me feeling he could bring more than just a lil something to the table. If the lousy eagles can keep the door wide open for Brandon Graham to walk through it if he feels like it, no reason why we can't show same level of love for one of our greats.
