I think its time to bring Quentin back. I know its only been 13 games or so, but he seems to be doing better in triple A and our current RFs are not putting up any better production.

Excatly! Which is why rushing back Quentin would be a HUGE, COLLOSAL mistake!

'course - imo, the only time he should see a MLB field is from the cheap seats!

As it turns out, Carlos Quentin (.385/.467/.615 in 11 games), Robbie Hammock (.381/.468/.537), and Alberto Callaspo (.341/.404/.488) really hate being demoted. Quentin's early success is quite promising. Ever since his injury back in spring training his swing had been totally lost, but getting back on track in Tucson would be a huge step in the right direction for him. Chris Carter (.336/.397/.524 with 12 HRs) has dialed it up offensively, but 15 errors at first base is excruciating.

Okay, well he's doing great. I say keep him there for another 3 weeks to keep working on his game and if he can keep it up then bring him back for a final push to get into the playoffs. He's just barely beating out Hammock so it's not really all that impressive what he's doing now.

Next year? No way. He needs to come back this year if only to see if he's righted himself. If he has, then he has a spot on the team for next season, and if not, then it will be a sign that it may be time to move on with Upton or someone else.

But Quentin will definitely be back this year and playing every day.

He is like a poor mans craig counsell and he plays an offensive position...outfield. You couldnt be more right, Davanon doesn't produce, he just gets large pitch counts and then pops it up.

I think that they should give Carlos another week in triple A and then let him know that we are in a pennant race and that this is his last chance with the Dbacks... IF you dont produce, your gone, simple as that.

.210 is .210, no matter how you try to spin it. Quentin has been terrible this year, but hopefully he can pick it up soon.

Very true. He is tearing up pitching in AAA because he's in AAA, he needs to adjust to ML pitching talent, especially the good veteran pitchers who know how to pitch to young guys.

I think we should bring him back in a week or so. It seems the Dbacks are getting into a groove, of course the latter part of our streak is against an eh team, but we did beat the Cubs twice which is impressive because they were doing very well. Anywho, I think we have a chance at the division, but I don't want to ruin whats going on in the clubhouse.
