The Denver Broncos met with LSU tight end Mason Taylor at the NFL combine last month, according to KUSA-TV's Mike Klis.

Taylor (6-5, 251 pounds) did not run at the combine, but he posted a 4.65-second 40-yard dash at his pro day, a time that would have ranked second among TEs at the combine. He also bench-pressed 225 pounds 28 times, which also ranks second among TEs this year.

The 20-year-old tight end is the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive end Jason Taylor, a six-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro with 139.5 career sacks. His uncle, ex-NFL linebacker Zach Thomas, is also in the Hall of Fame.

I really appreciate Mason Taylor's ability to catch passes outside of his frame.

Above his head, behind him, in traffic, on the sideline. Constantly making catches with full extension.

A lot of off target throws on tape & he consistently came down with the ball. pic.twitter.com/c1QNtkoaMU

Taylor totaled 129 receptions for 1,308 yards and six touchdowns in three years (38 games) with the Tigers. He is now projected as a second- or third-round prospect.

Even after signing Evan Engram, the Broncos could look to add another tight end in the draft. Denver holds seven picks this year, including Nos. 51 and 85 in the second and third rounds, respectively. The 2025 NFL draft will be held in Wisconsin from April 24-26.
