The first known restructure of the offseason has arrived for the Denver Broncos.

The Broncos converted outside linebacker Jonathon Cooper's $4 million roster bonus into a signing bonus, according to The Denver Post's Parker Gabriel. There's no downside to the restructure for Cooper as he now receives the money up front, and Denver creates more salary cap space by spreading the cap hit over more than one season.

After converting the roster bonus to a signing bonus and adding a void year to Cooper's contract, the Broncos have created $3.2 million in additional 2025 salary cap space.

This does not necessarily mean a big move is on the way for Denver. The team's front office might just be doing some house cleaning to get into a good cap situation ahead of potential in-season signings and players landing on injured reserve this fall.

The Broncos have around $17 million in available cap space, but some of that will be used for their 2025 rookie class (Denver holds seven draft picks this year).
