Looks like Washington will only have a 3.5 mil cap hit for him

I don't know. Got the salary cap numbers off the internet "over the cap" web site but it can't be as bad as I stated. I may have messed up or they may have worked out the numbers. However the Skins are taking a hit with Alex Smiths big contract for sure.

They’d have to trade up quite a bit to get him because he won’t be at #15, definitely won’t get past Giants at 6.
yup, but Snyder has shown he’ll sacrifice the future to make a splash move.

Must be pretty weird for him. He's like Michael Jordan as a basketball executive. Phenomenal player but a lot of bad decisions as an executive.

Broncos can't seem to find a QB worth a damn and keep having trouble at the position. Crazy that it's happening on Elway's watch given how amazing he was at playing QB.

Yeah, he still has a ring under his watch as GM though.

That would make more sense but why get Keenum???

The Redskins only have Keenum on a 1 year deal, they only gave up a 2020 6th rounder for him, that just screams bridge QB to me. Keenum, McCoy and a highly drafted rookie QB in DC in 2019

I'd like to dedicate this song to the Redskin quarterback situation :)

This is actually pretty normal. There have been many great players, Hall of Famers, who made lousy executives/coaches. Jordan, Bill Russell, Ted Williams, Frank Robinson, Magic Johnson, etc were phenomenal players but bad coaches or execs. There aren't many hall of fame players who parlayed their on field success into management or coaching success. Even Ditka showed that the Bears would have been nothing without Buddy Ryan. No coincidence that they only won 2 more playoff games during the rest of his time in Chicago and we all know the train wreck he was in NO.
