Cards meet with McCoy yesterday. No news of what happened or where Michael & his plane are heading.

Are we totally out of the Kelly hunt?

I would be slightly interested. But I have had my reservations about Kelly for a while now.

Were we ever in it? I would out of my mind if MB stepped in and got the deal done with Kelly. Just the thought of turning him loose on Harbaugh, Carroll and Fisher brings a smile to my face.

Why aren't the Brown interested if he's such a good fit. Young offense. Is he headed to Carolina?

It would be a stark contrast to the offenses run in this division.

My main issue is how rugged the defenses are in Seattle, & San Fran. How can an offense predicated on speed survive being hit that hard on a consistent basis. Atleast 9 games a year are guaranteed to be in a dome.

I for one think he is a horrible fit in that division. No Domes, horrible weather, mean defenses everywhere. I never saw the fit.

Chip should go to San Diego if he knows what is best for him.

No domes???

So the question is whether the mean defenses would dictate the offense of whether his innovative offense would dictate the defense.

In November or December in the AFC North..... I will always take the team that hits the hardest and has the most hard nosed defense.

I don't have any interest in Kelley but this is bad news in my mind because the browns are interested in Horton. Had Kelley taken the Cleveland job, Horton was essentially ours to keep even at DC

I bet CLE dropped him because he is going to PHI. Every football analyst mentioned PHI as probably the best HC position available because their ownership is the most stable, dedicated and willing to stick with a coach (Andy Reid, 14 years). Plus look at the talent they have on that team, it is pretty impressive and all that really needs to be improved is the OL. Kelly would have Maclin, Jackson & McCoy to play with and that is a pretty good start especially if Vick goes back. The defense is still pretty formidable and just needs a couple of pieces.

ARZ does need an offensive minded HC so: Kelly, Gruden & Arians should be the top candidates but I pretty much always had the feeling Horton would eventually get the job after all the smoke and mirrors.

After the medical issues Arians had today..... I don't expect him to get another shot this offseason.

According to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, the Browns have included Colts OC Bruce Arians and Montreal Alouettes coach Marc Trestman to their head-coaching search.

Arians is now a candidate in Cleveland, Chicago, and San Diego after spending Sunday in the hospital due to a bad reaction to medicine he was taking for the flu. Viewed by many in the NFL as an offensive mastermind, Trestman worked in the league as a QBs coach and coordinator for 20 years before leading the Alouettes to back-to-back CFL titles in 2009 and 2010. He's interviewing with the Bears as well.
