Wasn't aware of that. That's huge and expains why they did this deal.

I bet their next pick in Rd 1 is Kendall Wright. I still believe if Colt McCoy has some weapons, whick he will now, can be a very solid QB.

Move had to be done, IMO.

Browns love Richardson and had the picks . So they did what they had to do. I believe the Bucs would have moved up to 3 to pick him.

Richardson reminds me of - gasp - Earl Cambell. I know those are big words, but I think he can be special for 5 or 6 years at least.

I like the move.

Spielmann did a superb job of extortion.

Cleveland competes in the AFC-North where it's been rumored it snows in Nov/Dec. They felt they hadda have Richardson and had a surplus of picks to work with anyway. So they bit the bullet and pre-empted any other Richardson suitor.

Good job on both sides.

Hardly 'dumb' - they got the guy seen by some as the best player in the draft. They had 13 picks and gave up nothing in the first three rounds.

They didn't trade the picks to move up 1 spot - they traded the picks to get the guy they wanted, and got him.
