3 things stuck out in the article to me:

1: the punishment for steroids and pot is the same? That doesn't seem fair

2: seems a lot of Seachickens are getting popped for it. Pete Carroll having a shady program? Ya don't say

3: Irvin really handled it maturely, and I respect that. No appeal, just an apology. Classy move considering the circumstances, especially in a world where nobody takes responsibility for their own actions

The drug adderall itself is not the PED, it is used to cover up for other PEDs in a drug test. He was most likely using HGH or something like that.

That is awesome! And i am no fan of his.

The NFL does not release what the drug was, the players that get caught all SAY they're on adderall purely as PR, but if they REALLY took aderrall they would have it prescribed to them... and the NFL allows for it to be taken in that situation.

So either the player is lying and they were on some more illicit drug... or the player is a complete buffoon and is taking a drug without a prescription that could easily be prescribed and clear them of any wrong doing... which seems more likely?

The news on Irwin and D. Wash reminds me of injuries to starting QB's. So much changes when a 'star' goes down. Look at us, last year, 4-0, with KK playing well. Powell misses a blocking assignment, KK goes down, along with our season. Now, we pick up a newspaper or turn on our computer and find that someone the team was counting on has been arrested (usually for DWI or domestic violance) or suspended for PED's. Maybe it's true that it's better to be lucky than good.
