I like Bruno's stuff. Just wish they would have had Metallica back in the day, when they were young and still relevant. Or old school Alice in Chains, playing in the cold and snow. That would have been surreal. People would be jumping from the upper decks.

Now that would be a good show. Never heard Bruno Mars but if he plays some good rock and roll then fine. Anything but Rap or that boy band stuff.

My guess is you'll be a tad disappointed. ;)

Halftime performance at the Super Bowl is selected strictly for the people who do not care about football at all so more people watch the event. There is nothing about Bruno Mars (who looks like Sammy Davis Jr, without facial hair) that says football. In other words, it is commercial crap for ratings and is not about the very event everyone is meeting for and that is a game. You have a freaking extended break when teams should be on the field already

Eloquently stated.

Who T H is Bruno Mars?

I'm into Indie/Alternative, but when I heard Bruno I thought there was a real Michael Jackson late 70s vibe about him. A real authentic talented guy writing good tracks and not relying on modern production and vocoders and singing other peeps songs.

Love you handle man....

I switched over to a 30 for 30, "No mas" with Roberto Duran and Sugar Ray Leonard.

You've got to be kidding with the halftime "entertainment" crap. Just a way to pull in the non football fans.

Great show. Best part of the Super Bowl, for once.

I like most of Bruno Mars' stuff. Wish they had let him do the halftime solo. Adding a secondary group just seems stupid to me.

Here is something I did not know about SB halftime performances: The musicians are not paid and actually have to pour their own money into paying for backup dancers and musicians, pyrotechnics, glam squads, etc.

Here's Why Bruno Mars Is Not Being Paid To Perform During Today's Super Bowl Halftime Show

I would love to see the statistics of how many people went onto iTunes and downloaded his stuff during or immediately after the halftime show.

I agree totally! I am not a Bruno Mars fan but the man is entertaining. It would have been funny to see the RHCP come out in their socks tonight.

DMB - If I had a shaka icon this would be a good if not the only time to use it. BM was pretty good at half time.

Yeah. Bruno Mars and the plate lunches from Leo's Island BBQ were pretty much the highlight of the night. :D

I agree. He's very young yet old school....He sings! No screaming, rapping, etc. Plays the piano.

Oh, and he's from Hawaii so I'm a little biased but judge for yourself.

Yeah, he is a legend here in Hawaii. Even his (not so talented) sisters have a reality show a cable network.

His 3 dates here next month sold in record time, lol

You are so right. Worst halftime show ever to go with the worst Super Bowl ever. Man I wish I could go back in time and do anything else but watch that mess. I should have been paid to watch that. Bruno Mars makes Michael Jackson look like a tough guy. I can see why they try to cater to the younger crowd with a guy like that but really they need to cater to the people paying the bills for the sport and put some decent rock and roll band in there as well.

I disagree. I'm 51 & I enjoyed it. Best part of the SB IMO.

How was the show from watching TV?

From my viewpoint I couldn't see the halftime show that well. We sat in the nosebleeds.
