I have without a doubt against Houston. He played very well including the small things. Dropped off into coverage well, strung along run plays to the outside by using some strength to set the edge, and so on. I think when coach says he wants to see something from Brown he wants to see a second performace of the Houston game, meaning more consistency.
I am far more worried about Will Davis who I am not sure has even played a single snap it seems like.
I think Baggs has actually shown more then the both of them, at least more consistently. In the small sample size we have that is.
Yes.

seriously... I asked this before, but got no answer... who the hell are you and what have you done with K9? I won't even get into the Matt Leinart "productive" of it all... but the walking-turnstile-then-turn-corpse-Levi Brown... productive?
Yeah... I think that he just needs to show something, though. I think that both Urban and Somers have commented that Brown is increasingly marginalizing himself.
The team'll likely only keep 4 OLBs going into the season. I don't know of Stevie Baggs has shown enough to fight for PT in the base defense, but Brown needs to at least show some special teams value, because Baggs has apparently been getting a lot of action there, and joe seems to think that Baggs won't accept a practice squad slot.
I think the bubble has burst for the following:
1. Brown (Only his 2nd round selection can save him, as Baggs has outplayed him)
2. Togafu
3. Green (Has had a good PS, but it looks like the practice squad, since Komar was used as a returner, last night). If Adams is injured, that could change things.
4. Claxton, but it should be Johnson. Maybe the team thinks that while he can't play OT, he might be able to play OG.
5. Dray (I hope he makes it through waivers). I'd cut Becht and keep Dray, but the team probably won't.
6. Jones, Onrea (Every year he has a good camp, but someone usually has a better one, Williams and Komar).
Here's my issue with Baggs. The late great John Wooden had a million quotes that will be cited forever but one of the best is don't confuse activity with accomplishment. That's what I see with Baggs, he's flying around like a chicken with his head cut off he is the definition of wasted footsteps.
He does make some plays on ST, but I was watching him fairly closely last night too and he runs himself out of more plays than he makes. Brown actually needs to step up his activity level but I don't know what to make of Baggs, he just doesn't seem to play under control.
K9, did you watch Cody Brown at all? If so, what did you see?
