By releasing Deone Bucannon this morning, the Buccaneers now are in line to get a 3rd-round compensatory pick in the 2020 draft for losing Kwon Alexander to 49ers. It’s complex why, but basically the Bucs now have lost more free agents than they signed (lost 5, signed 4).

I could be wrong but wasn’t he making a run at playing safety with the Bucs? I would take him as depth at LB. I didn’t forget what Walker and Gardeck looked like when Reddick went down and it’s only a matter of time before Hicks is nicked up and missed a few.
