His arm isn't strong, but he is experienced and accurate. I'm not saying he's the savior by any means. But on the other side you can say he's got ML's arm but an experienced brain that can also throw accurate. Plus again you wouldn't have to worry about a QB whose weak mindset can rip apart the team, and that's looking at it with rose colored glasses on.
As situated even if I wasn't the cards, and some other nfl gm, I wouldn't sign ML to any deal. A shame too. I have an affinity for left handed qb's, wishing them well more than the regular QB's, simply because like me they are left handed. I also thought at the time you couldn't pass up ML in the draft. But my question marks on him; arm/injury proneness has shown up to be big red flags so far in his career with no reason to believe it will ever change. Meanwhile more red flags have popped up every year. Such as immaturity, partying, etc.. Now it's gotten to the point I feel he is most likely a detriment to the team, or one which can arise very shortly.
Garcia on the other hand. Cheaper than ML, more accurate than ML, knows the NFL game unlike ML, and is a team player which ML isn't. Therefore Garcia should be on our radar, because imho he's simply a better QB than ML. Again that doesn't mean ML won't have a decent career, but at this point you can't expect him to finish his career with 4 years as a starting QB total. It also very well may not be his on the field play that derails him either but his 'tude off it.
