Budda's average tackle this week was made 7.5 yards downfield. Tackles are great, but if they're not accompanied by a single pass breakup (NOT ONE! -- He has three passes defensed THE ENTIRE SEASON), I don't really understand what we're doing here.

Pay him; we have too much money already, but Cards State Media pumping up Budda Baker with 0 INTs and 0 forced fumbles in 2024 is peak lipstick on a pig.

K, teams are scared of him. I mean legitimately scared of him. When you have to account for his whereabouts in your gameplan, that's a difference maker. Would we like to see more INT's and yes, breakups? Yes. But I just can't imagine where our defense would be without him this season. He's a tone setter and integral in building a "culture" for the Cardinals. We're lying to ourselves if we say he can easily be replaced. Week after week, win or lose, I'm clapping at my tv and saying OK BUDDA! I'm 1000% okay with it. Now comes the work of putting a complementary defense around him that makes him even better and doesn't require him to do more than he needs to in order for us to stay in games.

I figured $30 million guaranteed. Glad it's done and zero issues with it. He'll be 32ish at the end and may still have another year or two of good play in him at that point.
