This game was nice in that we got to see Dunn and Richard’s on the court at the game time for a long time.

Richard’s has looked like crap since he plays with some of the worse perimeter defenders. And then never sees the court again.

Just finished watching. Man tale of 2 halfs for Book. Looked like a stinker of a game then he cooked. Man, I really like Martin. He is a hustle guy and dirt worker.

alrighty then - how about richards tho - he hears what's coming down the pipe - he hears oso clanking - he knows plum is 35 and on a one year contract

18 points 9 rebounds 5 of them offensive rebounds and 3 blocked shots on only one foul - are you kidding me

richards wants to start next year and he's making a damn good case when he isn't being budnished - now we're seeing these pick and rolls and finger rolls - when you roll you roll to the basket whether you get the ball or not - putting you in position for you guessed it - offensive rebounds (and put backs and assists)

it's a small sample size granted - but i like richards and oso - both can play the defense plum used to - we got richards signed for one more year - i hope we keep him - he's not an all star but a double double machine will do just fine

27 games played in phx - he's averaging 10 points and 9 boards a game on just 22 minutes - i might even extend him before next season

Collin will be fine once he feels Bud has faith in him. He is too tentative taking his shot right now.

Being on a two-way contract can't help his confidence.
He's definitely err'ing on the side of facilitating, but I also think it's a bit harder when he's matched up against other teams starters right now. I have high hopes that he can get used to the game speed and gets more comfortable without having to rush his shot.

Even if he doesn't though, his activity on the defensive end and on the glass warrants keeping him in the starting spot, Beal be damned.

That, I agree with.

I think you're more concerned with him on a two-way than he is. His contract isn't changing if he isn't producing, period. He needs to earn more confidence and he more comfortable regardless of whether Bud ends up pulling him. As the PG, he can't be looking over his shoulder with concern. Nothing will change with his contract this season.

Two-way players are not playoff eligible, so if the Suns make the play-in, they will need to make a decision whether to sign Gillespie to a regular roster spot.

Personally, I don't trust James Jones making personnel decisions.

IMO, the Suns should have signed Gillespie to a regular contract a long time ago. Forget the RFA stuff. I have seen more than enough to know he is a keeper.

We don't have a roster spot now. Signing Gillepsie means waiving someone, either Lee or Misic. I'm fine waiving either but I don't think we need to make a move early. That also increases tax bill, which Ishbia has shown he cares about to some extent.

I believe we lose the matching rights if he is signed for the remainder of the year also, which would hamper our ability to re-sign him this summer. All so he could potentially play in 4-5 games. I don't think he'll make a difference in a playoff run.

He should be retained this summer but I don't see the need to do so early. The small positive, being eligible for the post season, doesn't outweigh the potential negatives. Those negatives being a higher tax bill and potentially losing RFA matching ability. We aren't making the playoffs, no 10 seed has. We definitely aren't winning in round 1.

I am in favor of JJ looking bad to finish the season so there's no chance he's retained. Gillepsie being off the playoff roster does that. Ideally, Gillepsie plays big and wins a game or two for us and helps us secure a playoff spot and then the Suns get trounced without him. Helping to highlight why JJ needs fired while also signalling to the new powers in charge that Colin needs signed long term.
