I'm in L.A. and planning a trip to AZ a game this year. What's the best strategy for getting the best seats at SDS - ordering early online or going to the stadium on gameday and buying tickets from the scalpers?

Go check out ticketmaster.com first, I am sure there will be a lot a great seat up until a week or so before each game, except for the Packers game. I heard that may be the only sell out of the season. Do not buy from a scalper this year. Actually there probaly will not ever be scalpers this year.

Thanks. Appreciate the advice. Last time I was there it seemed like folks were dumping their tickets on gameday at slashed prices. Are they cracking down on scalping at SDS these days?

I remember a lot of "scalpers" from last year's trek to SDS. But, it's not actually scalping if you're selling at or below face value, right?

If you wait until the game starts, you can get tickets for like 50% off from a scalper.

One thing I have never understood is the same group of guys have been outside SDS with "Need Tickets" signs for every home game for the last 6-7 years. What are they doing? Everyone knows you can get great seats at the window for almost every game. Can't figure out what their game is, buying tix for $5 and selling them for $10????. Anyone know?

Scalpers are the bottom feeders of society. There are plenty of good seats available.

Scalpers are no good, dirt balls who should be given a swift kick to the lips.

I hate it when they say "need tickets?" all the time. I just give them an evil death stare.

Get a life scalpers!

Yes the scalping "business" totally sucks and I wasn't endorsing them. Not sure how they make $$ for Cards games considering there are usually good seats available at the box office. Aren't the scalpers losing $$? I figured some of those guys are locals who can't use their season ticket for that particular game and are liquidating at below ticket price.

Guys, there are usually seats available for games at the ticket offices.

There are not usually "good" seats. Before I got season tickets I would get them on the day and get sun burn as a result.

Scalpers are supply and demand in action. If I don't have time/energy to stand in line for an event, I'm glad that there is someone willing to do that. I have a bigger issue with the "legitimate" ticket agencies than I do with scalpers.

That being said, I can't figure out how either of them make money on the Cards.

The scalpers that are on the street on game day don't charge a fee and they usually sell the tickets well below face value.

Plus you get a better seat from the scalper. They are usually reselling unused tickets that season ticket holders have sold to them....so they are better than the seats available at the ticket office.

Also, what is the Cards policy on walk up tickets? They don't sell the cheapest tickets on game day? Isn't the selection from the ticket office limited on game day.
