Oh please. Try harder why don't you.

Or is he really just that confident?

If we see bynum is limited, i would put lopez on gasol and amare on bynum.

The most effective way to guard gasol is to match his length. Amare will be giving up strength to bynum, but if he is struggling to move the strength advantage may be negated.

any experts out there? can bynum's injury get any better in the next 2 weeks or is the best it can get right now.

Meniscus tear doesn't get better on its own. My guess is that it will star getting worse every game, and he will probably need to have that knee drained a couple of times.

Well, if this is an accurate report then i can see Lopez getting stronger as the series goes on, while Bynum could get weaker.

For some reason I wouldn't put it past PJ to be less the honest to try and throw the Suns off.

Bynum,Lamar Odum and Gasol up front vs Amare/Lopez/Hill is NOT a good matchup for us any way you slice it IMO.

I think I agree with this. Though as good as Hill has been playing, I am a tad concerned with this match-up. You throw Artest in the mix and then all of the sudden something has to give. The one thing that might be an x-factor is Hill has a pretty good track record with covering guys a bit bigger then him.

I would much prefer to see Amare/Frye/Dudley vs a LAKER frontline of Gasol/Odum/Kobe......although Odum is a bad matchup too as long as he shows up.

That I would also like to see. I hope that we see that lineup the most against the Suns. The Suns would have the advantage IMO in that scenario. Frye will draw Odom away from the basket. If Amare is on his game Gasol can't guard Amare. Kobe would obviously have the advantage with his match up.

SUNS need to take one of these three guys(Gasol/Bynum/Odum) out of the equation either by running them into foul trouble, going small,double-teams etc.....maybe Bynum's knee troubles are just one more sign that this SUNS team is destined to catch a few breaks for once rather than be left standing wondering "what could have been?"

The just emphasizes the Suns have to get into the paint and the free throw line. The only way you get any of their front line guys in foul trouble is to get into the lane and get fouls. If the Suns are relegated to a jump shooting team (a la the D'Antoni era), this is going to be a short series.

If you think Vlade for Kobe was a gift when it was made then you are pretty damn stupid. Jerry West just hustled Calipari and then robbed a Hornets team in desperate need of a center.

I don't belive any of these one bit at all.. With kobe missing practice the other day, bynum hurt and missing practice and all.. I call lies.. Fake news, mind games.. Watch them come out and play strong still. Wasn't their a post a few weeks ago about bynum having a torn meniscus but he's still playing strong?

wrong...they are hurting...

it's not like the suns won't prepare as if they are 100%.

Kobe's knee just got drained....both are in rough shape.

Neither practiced all week.

In all seriousness to Laker fans.....

Bynum is 22. He is in his 5th season in the league and has only played more than 65 games once in a season. Just about every single one of his injuries are in his legs. How reliable is he going to be moving forward?

Not very reliable if the last three post season are any indication. Frankly, it scares me to death.

I'm still taking that article with a grain of salt considering that supposedly "doctors" said that bynum's knee won't get any worse by playing and that is why he is still in the lineup. They may not be 100%, but I don't think it is as bad as they are leading us to believe.

So what if they didn't practice?

Alvin gentry said live last night that a bunch of the suns players got days off with no practice..(J Rich, Nash, Frye...) Don't believe everything the media/newpaper tells you.. Especially an LA local paper.

These are blatant excuses.

I just don't buy Bynum and Kobe stuff. I think they are using this to try and throw off the Suns.

Bynum is playing with a torn meniscus that got worse after his knee was hyper-extended. What is there to buy?

And Kobe playing through with injuries is nothing earth shattering. Go watch game 4 of the 2000 NBA finals if you have any doubts.
