I’m just saying after watching football for over 60 years, I have never seen this “rule” was ever enforced. I simply asked for proof it was ever enforced. If anyone has proof, I will listen.
I hear ya. I guess I would say that the rule was never enforced to this degree because it never had to be. Meaning, the ridiculousness of the final play has never really been a thing before like it was today. So, that's the difference. IMO. Either way... While I'm glad we escaped with the W, I hope Dilly learns from that nightmare ending.

The PAC 12 Title game is on.

I'm glad I missed that game. Unfortunately, I was so drained, I missed the sarcasm.

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- — Everett Hayes kicked a 55-yard field goal with 20 seconds left and Oregon State snapped a five-game losing streak with a 41-38 victory Saturday night against No. 25 Washington State in what was essentially this season's Pac-12 championship.

Congratulations to Chris Karpman.

He hasn't missed a home game in 20 seasons while covering ASU football.

Then he’s not very smart. A smart man looks at the fact that his strategy. Ould have cost him the game. Could other strategies? Sure. But his directly lead to a final play that could have lost. Saying it was right is hubris imo. Humility makes a good coach, great because it allows you to learn.

Hoping it’s heat of the moment. Dude has done an absolutely incredible job so far.

Skattebo is a legend now. I'm actually really wondering now about him in the draft. I was joking earlier but I kind of figured he was a 7th round or UDFA guy going into the year, but with the senior year he's had, I wonder if he has a chance of going say 5th round?

He's just too good and too versatile to not have a chance, he can get the tough yards, he can block, he can catch the ball, he's big enough to play as a sort of FB, and he can play special teams>
Really hoping he ends up as a Cardinal

I love how the guy plays. And I hope he proves me wrong. But I fear he is just too slow as a RB for the NFL. I agree his best chance is as a Jusczyk type of player.

There is a reason why he was at Sacramento St.

He consistently falls forward.

As good as he is right now, he is a UDFA if I ever saw one.

I love the kid and hope for better but…I don’t buy it

Kenny made some silly decisions but he does so every game. House record doesn’t make him right just means he is lucky. Fine line between aggression and smart
I agree that he has been awfully lucky. I mean you can make the argument that "fortune favors the bold," but going against convention all the time is also inevitably going to bite him at some point.

I mean honestly is this really some sort of great accomplishment? That’s what like 100 games? I know people that have went to work and never missed a single work day 4-5 days a week for decades? Lolol

Seriously one 3 hour game like 5-6 times a year???

So again, let me know what games this “rule” was ever enforced. I didn’t watch the wrong games and I WAS paying attention. Sounds like U of A bias. If not, show me when this “rule” was enforced. And don’t tell me I am uniformed without showing enforcement of this “rule”. You are attacking me but you are not showing when this “rule” was enforced. It was a simple request which you obviously cannot fulfill.
Lol I’m an asu football fan.

And I can’t come up with the likely thousands times it’s literally been enforced because it’s not talked about every time it is. But if you watch games and pay attention to the actual clock it becomes pretty damn obvious.

Also, you can put a word in quotes, but it doesn’t change the reality of its being a rule.

Finally, I’m not “attacking” you friend, I just think it’s silly to rage against a rule just because you never personally knew about it.

I've enjoyed Chris Karpman's thorough coverage of ASU sports over the years so I thought it was noteworthy.

His media coverage includes much more than a football game. If I want to know what is happening in ASU sports, he is a go to source.

I know I told this before but the reason he first decided to leave Sac State was that he had scouts telling him he had a chance to play in the NFL and would be better served to move up to a higher competition in college.

So I agree he's not fast, but I don't really know what his 40 time is. I am fairly sure he ran track in HS but I can't seem to find anything on it. you see estimates of 4.5 to 4.6 for his 40.

I know the coach was mad but I loved his autograph after the 3rd TD that was great.

It was largely because he hurt his shoulder as a senior in HS. His junior year was insane, over 3000 yards rushing, over 40 TD's, a state title for a school that never even comes close to that sort of thing.

But he got hurt as a senior, per 247 his scholarship offers were Sac State and William and Mary. He also got quite a bit bigger since then he was just about 200 as a junior in HS per his bio, he's about 225 now.

I would not trade this coach for anyone BUT he mishandled the end of game (along with Leavitt) as badly as you possibly can. Could have been up by two touchdowns with Less than a minute or have BYU needing to score a touchdown from 98 or 99 yards away with less than 20 seconds. Ridiculous.

Great Win though!

Agree. Don’t get me wrong, I think dilly has been exactly what this moribund program has needed. But young headstrong coaches also need to show a propensity for humility, an ability to acknowledge and learn from mistakes in order to become great coaches. Of course, if he does that he’ll be poached by an SEC or Big 10 program.

Does not matter when it comes to the Territorial Cup.
And Tetairoa McMillan and Noah Fifita are not a great matchup for ASU. Hopefully Ward can dial up at least a little pressure and come up with something other than the soft zone we often see. Guessing T-Mac will be double-teamed, because Arizona doesn't have a lot of other weapons.
