It’sa good sign he has reflected on what they did and recognizes the errors. Personally, I’m not sure I agree with his sentiment if it was a one point game. I feel like if you play with aggression for 55 minutes or whatever then keep going. Maybe I’m in the minority but I would rather a game get torched being aggressive than being passive and hoping it works out.

I really wish the interception play had been a pick-6 instead of down inside the 10. None of that crazy ending would have happened the way it did if we had scored a TD..

So let’s talk about field stormings real quick. Was that win really worthy of a field storming? #21 beats, what, #14 and that is worthy? I don’t know. I suppose this makes me sound like a grumpy old dude or something and I can appreciate a good field or court storming when it happens but it should be for something truly monumental.

I agree overall. But when you think about how miserable the last two or three years were for this particular group of ASU students it's more understandable.

Normally, I'd agree, and I've been there for both college and pro games when fans stormed the field and goal posts went down.

But in this case, you have a team predicted to finish dead last in the conference wrap up what was clearly their biggest obstacle to playing in the conference championship game.

One could easily argue that it was truly monumental. I would add that - going forward - I hope we make sure the game is over before storming the field.

Only Field Storming I have ever been apart of was the 1998 win over the Chargers at Sun Devil Stadium - sitting in the NEZ with the family when Jacke hit the FG to send the Cardinals to the playoffs.

You are right - for some reason I had Del Greco stuck in my head
That game was a battle. Kwamie had 4 interceptions and dropped what would have been an NFL-record 5th INT.

I remember it was Jacke because he was a replacement kicker for Joe Nedney who was out hurt.

Cards' fans had rushed the field just a year earlier after our home opener when we defeated the Cowboys after we had lost 13 straight games to them. We beat them 25-22 on a last second FG (by Kevin Butler) and the goalposts came down and were carried out of the stadium and down Mill Ave. That was pandemonium.

What's even crazier is that was the 3rd time in 3 years that fans stormed the field. ASU fans had done it after the 1996 ASU 19 Nebraska 0 game. My wife and I were there for that one, but we did not storm the field. I did however grab an entire box of programs from the game.
