Cade Cunningham injury update from the Detroit Pistons lists him as day-to-day with a left calf contusion.
He will miss a third straight game with the injury, sustained last Friday in a loss to the Dallas Mavericks. The Pistons host the Eastern Conference-leading Cleveland Cavaliers (59-14) on Friday night at Little Caesars Arena.
Here is the Pistons' medical update issued Friday afternoon:
"Recent imaging on Cade Cunningham’s left calf confirmed a left calf contusion that he sustained during the game last week at Dallas (3/21). He will miss tonight’s game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers and will continue his treatment regimen with the Pistons’ athletic training staff. Cunningham will be listed as day-to-day moving forward."

The Pistons (41-32) are fifth in the East. They can guarantee themselves a playoff berth for the first time since 2019 with three wins in their final nine games or with a combination of losses from Atlanta and Orlando.
The regular season ends April 13. The NBA playoffs begin April 19.
