Their legitimate, but this is just the 1st real test of the season. Oregon next week will be the biggest game of the season.

I agree completely. I actually believe that going to Oregon is the toughest game this team can face the rest of the season. Even if they win out and make it to the National championship game, at least that would be played at a neutral site. HUGE game next week.

I hate ASU. I really do.

But they put on an outstanding, dominating performance outside of the 1st quarter today.

Congrats, scum devils, you have a legit BCS team.

Take away the blow calls, and this thing is a blow out.

Great Win. I just want to enjoy the fact that we finally beat Cal, before thinking about Oregon.

What an awesome game. Erickson is insane. Rudy is insane.

HYYYYUUUUUGGGGGEEE win! It almost guarantees us a spot in the Top 2 (knockin on wood) *jinx dance*. I am worried about Oregon, but with the way the team has been playing I wouldn't be surprised to see a win. Erickson has done a great job here so far and I can't wait until he actually gets his players here. The defense showed they were for real, stopping a powerful offense....just a great win.

Can't wait for next week. Gameday, two top 5 teams, playing for probably the #1 spot in the Pac-10 this year.

good win by ASU - i'm definitely on the bandwagon - carpenter needs to show up better in these big games - he had a serious case of happy feet tonight and as such this is a game they would of gotten killed in under koetter - erickson had the cure though and they just wore them down

nice win - i also think this game at oregon is the toughest game on their schedule - very difficult stretch for sure

Ugh - Bob, nevermind. Somehow I never knew you pulled for "them." Did you go there but decide to live up here like most of their alumni?

As impressive as this win is, I highly doubt it will move ASU up at all in the BCS. Both Ohio State and Boston College beat higher ranked teams on the road to remain undefeated. They won't lose ground. I don't think ASU's victory at home over a struggling Cal team will convince anybody that they are better than LSU, who was idle this week. I think we'll stand pat at #4.

Next week is an important week in the Top 5. Besides ASU at Oregon, Ohio State hosts Wisconsin, Boston College is at home vs Florida State, and LSU plays at Alabama. Things could easily change then.

Top 2 in the Pac-10 was what I meant and for the season, not just in rankings.

Wow...ASU is no longer just playing for the Rose Bowl. They are playing for a National Championship!

I've concluded this team is much, much better conditioned than it has been in the past. Cal was sucking air by the 4th quarter, and the Devils looked just as strong as the start of the game. To shut out Cal in the second half was impressive! I wasn't too thrilled by the Erickson hire. But, the man, obviously, is a terrific college coach.

The Oregon game is the biggest since the Rose Bowl in 97!

I actually think this win will drop ASU in the BCS, since Oregon beat a higher ranked team... and only trailed ASU by a very slim point total for 5th place.

Who cares about BCS right now - NOT ME! I care more about the People Polls. This win should get us clearly in Front of West Virginia (They haven't beat anyone tough this year, the Big Easy is proving that their preseason rankings were crap). Also, with Texas again struggling to win against Nebraska at home, it shows that Oklahoma isn't as good as their ranking indicates (I also think they will lose another game before its over, either @ Texas Tech, or against OSU). ASU is undeafeted!

Next week is the Game of the Year - If We win on the road - We will be #2 in the Nation, and there won't be a dang thing LSU can do about it, or BC (who have they really beaten, VaTech?... please, their conference sucks).
