Call more runs

We were ranked below the middle in rush attempts and most rushing stats again, even with an offensive MVP candidate at the RB position. I celebrate DJ's pass catching and total yard per game records - but we were indeed 1 dimensional overall and almost got Carson killed like Kurt got killed under Whiz. We need fundamentally sound play calling by our great head coach - He couldn't ask for a better set of skill players to execute in 2016- but no we pass like our hair is on fire and cripple our outstanding defense. Bear Bryant needs to scold BA and tell him the pressure he wants to apply to defenses needs to be earned not hoped.

DJ was over 36% of our offense last year. Any more & you'll kill the kid.

In 2016 we had 646 passing attempts & 399 rushing attempts. We rushed approximately 38% of the time which is a very good balance imo.

BA dials up what - given his resources and game-situation - will work.

I'm not in favor of arbitrary run/pass ratios, but if I were and if I wanted to run more, I'd shore up weaknesses in run blocking first.

My point - You don't run more or less because some ratio says you ought to. You call plays based on matchups and what's actually happening on the field.
