If the Cards can land one of the (perceived) top available QBs in FA or a trade (Kolb, Palmer, Orton, Hasselbeck or Smith .. yep, I didn't include Bulger), then I think they'll not only win the NFCW, but also their first round playoff opponent...and maybe more.

Got room on that bandwagon for me?

I predict a possible lucky first round win like and blowout in the 2nd round like Seattle last year. Let's just be reality here, none of those QBs will do anything more than get this team out of this horrible division which isn't saying much.

OK, then why don't you tell us which QB you think would be better than the one's mentioned? (and I hope your answer doesn't involve one of the QB's that was just drafted).

For half the season and more, we were in playoff race with Anderson, Hall and Skelton as QB's. And they are very bad QB's.

If we land a solid QB, we should at least get into playoffs. And from then, you never know, any given sunday, anything can happen.

But we are not winning the SB without a brilliant QB.

Everything hinges on the Defense and attitude. They have to get better. The Cards also have to stop taking weekends off and giving up when things temporarily go bad or get too good for that matter.

All we need to do is look to Houston. They have a top QB. They have an excellent running game. Their TEs caught 74 passes with 6 TDs. They have one of the best WRs in the game.

But their Defense was as bad as ours and they finished 6-10.

Dan Williams and PP21 should make a huge difference. I'm counting on those two guys to get us back on top as much as a new QB.

But I don't want to say it too loud or both of their careers will be doomed. :D

Wish adding a quality QB was all we needed.... It's a HUGE piece to the puzzle for sure, but:

- We need a MUCH better pass rush.
- We need a MUCH better pass defense.
- We need a MUCH better run game.
- We need MUCH better pass protection.
- We need Breaston to have another solid year and for Roberts to continue his development - Fitz needs to have pressure taken off of him.

And, maybe it's just me, but.... I sure would like to see us beat the 9ers as well! ;)

The NFC West will be tougher than last year. The 49ers have a solid coach in Harbaugh and had a nice draft. The Rams will be tougher with Bradford and don't count out Seattle as they too will get a veteran qb perhaps Palmer goes there.

This is why we are all Cards fans. We believe in the impossible dream. Every year I complain about our team but always start off thinking we are going to do it this year. You think we might learn from 100 years of experience that a Kurt Warner comes along only every 100 years. Mark Bulger or Kolb = Kurt Warner? I do not think so.

What are you basing Harbuagh being a solid coach on? I think Andrew Luck had as much to do with Harbuagh's success as anything. Saban and Spurrier came in with much better credentials than Harbaugh. He may turn out to be good but let's let him win a game, or two, before calling him anything.

I'm comparing him to Singletary. Anyone has to be an improvement plus they really have some good talent on the team.
