Pretty sure Pace was only named the starting linebacker last year because Okeafor got injured. But, Pace did make the most of his opportunity.

Still glad the team didn't give him a ridiculous contract like the one he got from the Jets.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals struggled, losing more games than Pace cares to count. When the team played in Sun Devils Stadium, the home of Arizona State, they were surrounded by mostly empty metal bleachers. When the Cardinals moved into their new home in Glendale, the fans that showed up often released a torrent of boos.

Man, that is such B.S.! Since moving into the new stadium, we have shown great love for the Cards. So I'm expected to believe NY won't boo their team when they do something stupid?
Now I have another reason to hate NY.

I don't blame him for being happy to leave the Cardinals. Hell, I can give 22 million reasons why he is happy. RG and company aren't stupid enough to give CP a 42 million dollar contract. Considering the Jets paid him double what he is worth, if I were him I'd be a happy Jet too.

I thought this was one of the most absurb signings during the off season. If Calvin is worth 42 I hate to see what Dansby value will be. He certainly did not look all that great against the Chargers. The trade down to get BJ and Calvin instead of taking Suggs has to be one of the most foolish trades the Cards have made.

What a shame the guy didn't show some class and keep his flapper shut. I can believe he wasn't happy in AZ but there is no real need to flap your lips up and down and bad mouth the team. just show some class and ****.

Yep, that Jets defense is lighting it up. We should re-visit this article in week 16 when they are saying what a huge bust Pace has been. I hate when they try and make superstars out of guys who have done nothing for 5 years. It's absurd to compare him to,even mention in the same breath with, Taylor.

The Jets are 1-2 and going nowhere. Wait until the NY fans turn on Pace and his fat contract. He'll be wishing he was back with the Cardinals soon.

You have to love a guy like that. The Cards pick him too high in the draft resulting in him getting a bigger than expected rookie contract. He immediately shows he is not a RDE by being overmatched all year long against LT's, but the Cards stick with him since they knew he was a work in progress. They spend several years "coaching him up" getting him to the point where he actually is a pretty good NFL player, and then he bolts in free agency for money(picked a bad team proving it was for money) and then takes a shot at the Cards.

I'd tell him to look in the mirror but he might fall through it and hurt himself.

I would rather by in NY with all that cash. That's what it is, he gets to spend money at Tiffany's. He gets to go to the hottest nightclubs. Pace can have all that money as long as I don't have to watch him become one of the Cards' all time bust.

It's the Times. They'd rather have a paragraph of flowery language that suits their point of view than actually investigate the facts. They'll probably release a correction on page F57 in a week.

I didn't read the article--did they refer to Calvin as "Mr. Pace?"

the "lowpoint started in the first round when the Cardinals selected him"... that was the starting lowpoint? he should be thanking his lucky stars we drafted him cause we made his sorry ass a fortune picking him two rounds too early.

Yep some publications had him as a 2nd rounder and one had mentioned that he was rising fast and MIGHT go in the late first but seemed unlikely. To go that high was sheer luck.

The guy made a lot of money here and the Cards resurrected his career by moving him to 3-4 LB, he should just keep his mouth shut and play.

I always pulled for the guy here he took so much bashing for not being a great DE, but he has no reason to bash the team the team looked out for him many would have cut him after that ridiculous incident/injury.

They also left out the part where the Cardinals had to sign Bertrand Berry because Pace couldn't get the job done.

Eh, this isn't worth commenting on...

Let's see what happens Sunday! My prediction - Pace gets one sack, but otherwise has no impact on the games outcome.

Anyone else see the irony in that sentence? A New York paper critical of a fan base for booing their own players? LOL!

If the Cards beat the Jets on Sunday, their own fans will boo them all the way back to Long Island.

All I care about is Sunday. I hope Wisenhunt puts this up for every body to see and they go out and make him pay.

I want to beat the Jets by 30......
