Cam talks more about God than Kurt ever did. :D

Every postgame question he answered with some mention of God.

He is a preachers kid,...that could be good or bad, lol.

Oh, that's right. A guy that prepped songs for the booth at Alabama slipped in "Son of a Preacher Man" and "Take the Money and Run" and got fired for doing so. :D

i think he will be scary for the opponent defense having a quaterback who can run like him ..that will Make our wide receivers more open in the backfield..i think with our bad offensive line he can be the best player to chose for the next draft..and then i would like to see a quarteback who can run in arizona

I'll bet we see Newton's draft stock rise much like Donavon McNabb's did back in 1999. McNabb was widely considered a 2nd round selection up to late in his senior year because he played in a veer option offense that apparently made him a long shot to be able to adjust the the nuances of an NFL offense.

McNabb ended up being the #2 overall selection instead of a 2nd round pick once teams had the chance to really evaluate his ability. Newton has off the charts talent and is a heck of alot better passer than people give credit.

Teams blitz our quarterbacks (Warner included) partly because there is never a risk of the quarterback making a big play with their legs. Look at what South Carolina did yesterday. South Carolina was the best pass rushing team in the SEC but chose instead to drop 8 guys into coverage and mirror Newton because they feared his running ability that much.

The fade route for the touchdown that made it 49-14 (2nd to last touchdown) sold me on Newton. That was a bigtime pass that none of our current crop of quarterbacks could ever complete. That pass took touch, timing, and guts and Cam made it look ridiculously easy.

What kind of pro prospect do you think this kid will be. Is he another VY? He seems to throw the ball really well.

I think he will be the #3 QB taken and may be the only one of significance there when we draft unless we lose all the rest of our games. A definite possibility. This should be DAs last year in the NFL as it should be for Hall. It also should be for the idiot on our staff that selected them as our QBs to start the season (Graves perhaps?). What were we thinking we we started this season with this group of losers? From Kurt Warner to this?

That is exactly what I said when he threw it. DA's biggest problem is he doesn't know how to throw to a spot. Cam threw that ball to space with touch, he went up huge in my book on that throw. Still don't know how good he will be as an NFL QB, but I actually believe he will be one now after watching his last 4 games and him throwing it to win.
