I definitely would not trade Q for T.O. and picks. I think T.O. can still play, but his hissy fits do nothing for team morale. I can't see him being happy with Fitz getting tds if he isn't.

Way too risky.

agreed. dude can definitely still play... just not for any team that takes winning seriously.

No freaking way! It would never work because whisenhunt is a no nonsense coach and that would spell disaster.

Ahahahahhahah!!! Eagles fan here. You do not want T.O. on your team. Believe me. I'm no expert on the Cards, but they seem like a bunch of decent "character" guys with good locker room chemistry. T.O. may or may not be a talent upgrade at WR, but he will destroy your team. Don't even think about it.

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned:

Todd Haley would probably quit to go coach in Canada.

Also, sign me on to avoiding all locker room cancers, no matter what the upside.

I wouldn't trade Boldin for another WR, the main reason we discuss trading Boldin is because we think Whiz wants to be come a more run oriented team and because we think we might have too much $$$ tied up in the WR position if we extend Boldin. As for T.O. I don't want a locker room cancer who really old as far as elite WRs are concerned. Andre Johnson and Calvin Johnson are the only 2 WRs I would even consider trading Boldin for.

I would do this trade.

We get -
  1. All of their draft picks for the next two years
  2. Terrance Newman
  3. Andre Gurode
  4. DeMarcus Ware
  5. Terrell Owens

and they get -
  1. Anquan Boldin

As a Cowboys fan, I've dealt with TO being on the team for 3 seasons. He does have his issues, but if TO chipped a fingernail, the media would somehow spin it into him being a cancer. He HAS cleaned up his act for the most part, but the negative media attention is no longer worth his declining skills. (Unless he just had an "off" year.)

He would be a perfect #2, but I doubt his ego would let that happen.

I'd Boldin for him if they give us 2 1st round draft picks and a 3rd.

I would then cut TO the same day.

This coming from someone who thinks that TO can still play.

i have to admit i dont follow TO,S Carree is he done? when he was at the top of his game he was very physical like Q to go along with the finesse of fitz

if not is there a free agent receiver out there you would trade Q for?

we have probably the most important off seaseon this year we got to do something with leinert even if kurt takes us to the promised land or not

If by chance Warner led us to the superbowl and we cut him and replaced him with Leinart then Leinart would be under pressure that I cannot even imagine. If we ended up 8/8 under Leinart the media would curse our coach and owner and most of the fans would join in. Steve Young had to sit a long time behind Joe Montana. If Kurt gets us to the superbowl and wants to play another year I just do not see how you cut him. We would not only be perceived as the Cards of old but the stupid Cards of old. If you want Leinart next year then you better hope we lose to the Eagles. That is the only way I see Kurt not being the starting QB again next year. If we won the superbowl he would lead the parades down main street and be on the cover of every sports publication in the nation and would likely be on Leno and all the sports channels. How could you possible cut him? Bidwill's would be cursed for ever and they would not want that kind of heat. If we lose then there is some wiggle room not to be cursed by all if we let him go. Kurt has not only performed on the field but has been a strong community guy and is a genuine good person to go along with all the rest. If we go the superbowl he sure has my vote of confidence. Matt is still a very young man as was Steve Young. He can still make his bones. He is also watching a master every game and some of that has got to be soaking in.

I only recently read some of the comments of Larry Fitgerald about the very close connection between him and Kurt. I suspect the same thing with the other receivers. I do not think they would be very excited about Kurt leaving as he has helped them become All Pros and they feel anytime he throws the ball they have a chance to catch it. They also know he throws a lot which is what they want. Warner and Wilson are likely the team leaders. So we fire an All Pro QB who leads us to the superbowl and who is the team leader and who the receivers think is magic. I would not want to be the guy perceived as being responsible for that.

I don't want Owens under any circumstances, he has Oakland Raider written all over him.

Certainly we will miss Boldin but it is apparent we cannot afford what he deserves and what we can pay to our receivers. We still going to be good at that positon with Fitz, Breaston, Urban and whoever else might turn out to be good. I think we have won 3 out of the last 4 against some good teams without Boldin. I might add that with all those screws still in his face he just might have some problems down the road. I sure hope not. Boldin has the heart of a lion. A mean lion at that. We should be able to acquire some good draft picks or at least a starter at some needed position (RB, DL, TE) and some lesser players. With Boldin and Fitz and our other receivers I think we have the best receiving corps in the NFL. It is difficult to keep a group like that together for obvious reasons (money and cap).

I have to admit, I didn't read the whole thread. But, I just had to come in and ask...... Trade Q for TO and draft picks? What draft picks?!?! Dallas gave away almost all of their draft picks in trades this year!

Re: Original topic... You should think many times before even posting such an idea.

No way in hell you want this nut case (TO) even near your team.
