I'm not anti-Johnson, just wondering what options are available to the Cards to resign/extend Boldin or ADub using this years cap.

It's football season, you need not worry about these things my friend. That is what the off season is for.

They will if/when Johnson's number gets off the books. Also, they can do stuff like turn most of this year's salary for a player into a signing bonus that will spread out over the life of an extension. They NEED to get one or two done, if they can, or the next offseason will be really tough.

I think we have the best tandem of receivers in all of football. Many will disagree but I think Fitz is the best receiver in football and he is still young. Boldin is as much a runner as he is a receiver and cannot make all the catches Fitz does. He is invaluable however. I do not think he is as good as Fitz and does not deserve Fitz money but he sure should be very close. Without these two guys we go nowhere. Does Boldin demand Fitz money? I do not know but I would up my offer to money near Fitz if after looking over our total cap situation. It may be that it does not make sense to tie up all your money in two receivers. There are consequences to such a move. That is where our capologist and management,coaches come in and that is what they get paid for. We as fans do not have all the facts. Of course all of us want to keep Boldin. I hope we can. I keep reading we have somewhere around $10 mil in unused cap money. Is that close to being true? If so I would sure consider using it in such a manner as to keep Boldin but then I do not have the facts. I just hope we have not given him a new contract for good reasons and not because Mr. B or Graves are being obstinate.

We must resign Boldin priority number 1 he does everything for us on offense in the receving game plus he his playing with heart, if we get boldin signed to a new deal we will have the best wr's in the game for a long time and it will pay for the good sooner or later
