Yeah that is definitely something to give serious consideration to. I am an insulin dependent diabetic and trust me when you are one your blood sugar can drop like a ship's anchor at a moments notice leaving one feeling like you have just been blindsided by Bertrand Berry!

And I sit at a desk all day. Imagine how difficult it is to juggle that when playing at least 60 minutes of NFL football. I admire Cutler for being able to so far overcome it and I hope it never does handicap his performance but it cannot help his hope for longevity in the league. Not saying it will shorten it but it won't help it.

I feel for diabetics and have family members that suffer dearly. However, I think it is unfair to limit a players ability to perform because he such a problem. This disease can be well controlled with proper monitoring, medication and knowledge.

Yeah you can definitely play with it. There have been other players in the NFL that have played with it. After you have had it a while the low sugars can creep up on you and you don't even know it because you kind of get used to it. In the whirlwind of the game that might happen. As a QB you really gotta stay on top of it because of the depth of thinking that is required.

What do I know though. He played ok with it last year. Hope it doesn't adversly affect him but I would rather have Matt than Cutler with his D.

Cutler doesn't strike me as a cranial QB where as Matt does. Million dollar arm, 10 cent emotional head

I dunno, the only "cranial" QBs I can think of are Gus Ferrotte and Ben Roethlisberger.

The rest use their brain, not the skull.

Sounds like something was fishy about the whole deal anyhow. Tampa offered a 1st and a 3rd and Belichick still took the KC deal? AND threw in Vrabel? Jeez, next time we hire a GM I want to make sure it's someone who has had their lips attached to Belichick's butt.

If denver doesn't trade Cutler....

I feel Denver might get screwed in a couple of years when Cutler wants an extension.

Having felt the business side now, he's going to ask for the moon. What's a QB, if he continues to develop into a marquee Qb many feel that he will get in a couple of years? My guess is around 20 mill per (taking current economic situation out of the equation) at the start of the contract.

I guess it is a long time until then, and MAYBE things blow over. But still my guess is he won't take any discount and what happened recently will be the reason why.

Very well may end up costing the broncos an extra 20 million in cap space over the life of the contract. Which in turn might cost them in terms of keeping players, or signing new ones.

Not to mention if Cutler isn't untouchable, no one is.

It's one thing for people to think that because of how bad a season they had, but it's another to actually have good players think that and then realize that many other NFL players aren't in the same boat.

If Whis was a HC back then, I think he would have picke Cutler over Leinart. Cutler has big arm and can scramble. Similar to Big Ben (maybe).

Now I'd gladly call Cutler the future of this franchise; he has a cannon of an arm. Unfortunately though, Cutler coming to AZ won't happen, pure speculation. We have Leinert, maybe Warner, we'll be fine.
