of any ONE player who, if the Cards would have gotten him, would have put us over the top at that point in time. It has to be someone who the Cards actually could have had, via draft, trade, FA, pursued more vigorously, or whatever. Someone who we missed out on, passed on, didn't want to sign with us, and/or we chose against signing Do Not include Cards' own FAs who we failed to resign.

In a couple years there just might be some in this year's draft who would fit that bill.

In this years draft, Hooker and Foster could be great, they could be busts. Top 6 guys that fell.
As far as our own drafts, ummm....ever great player that ever played (that wasn't one of the Cardinals 8 or 10 greats)

Yep. Actually, we had both Mannings going into the last game of the season. But, being the idiot franchise we were, we managed to win meaningless games.
If Eli wouldn't go to San Diego, Peyton wouldn't come here... We would have taken Leaf. LOL

Still can't believe they didn't draft him

+1. Still one of the worst days ever being a Cardinals fan. Dumbest move in Cardinals draft history.

Trading Anquan Boldin

1. Why this team traded Anquan Boldin, and then used the money on some of the worst free agent acquisition will always bother me.

2. Why this team let Karlos Dansby walk, twice, was ridiculous. Every time he left, he was never replaced. Again, the money "saved" was used on worthless free agents.

As much as I hate to say it, Roethlisberger and Rivers were still on the board when we drafted Fitz.

Yup. Hindsight is 20/20 Fitz has been great and he's going to the hall of fame but so are Rivers and Ben

1. Charles Woodson instead of Andre Wadsworth. 2. Brian Urlacher instead of Thomas Jones. 3. Ladanian Tomlinson over Leonard Davis. 4. AP over Levi Brown. All within a 10 year span..

That would of changed things!

Not meaningless to us fans that spent our hard earned cash to go to that game...:)
Meaningless to this fan, his brothers, and his father who did spend his hard earned cash to go to the game but understood the long term ramifications of a single stupid win likely causing us dozens of future wins.

I think we hit the two worst.

Not drafting Adrian Peterson
Trading down and not taking Terrell Suggs

In fairness, I was actually advocating for Byron Leftwich over Suggs at the time, but I was just as upset with that trade. Either player makes the Superbowl run that much better.

In recent years, listening to Bidwill talk about how they all really liked Russell Wilson, and that he learned his lesson about not passing on a guy in the future due to the body-type when everyone agrees he's special otherwise depressed me immensely.

Wadsworth was the right pick to make at the time. He was a special player a generational type talent. You can't predict injuries.

I thought Denny green messed up trying to make Davis a tackle. I think he could of easily been a hall of fame guard if used right.

Both Thomas Jones and Davis left here and went on to be pro bowl players.

Different strokes man...I never want to see us lose no matter the situation. Besides Deny said he was taking Fitz even at number 1. So it wasn't a meaningless win. We won, knocked the Vikes out of the playoffs, and still got our dude.

The worst part of it is that both players were busts. Pace, as always, had a good career as a Jet but Johnson was a complete bust.
