Cannot open iTunes

So all of a sudden, I tried opening my itunes and keep getting this error msg:

the itunes application could not be opened. an unknown error occured -50

I've exhausted all the online recommendations (uninstall, re-install, create new user, system restore, etc) but nothing seems to work.

Anyone ever encounter this?

Can you post what solutions you have already tried?

Return to your user account where iTunes won't open. Open up your My Music folder, then go into the iTunes folder. You should see 2 files called iTunes Library Genius.itdb and iTunes Library Extras.itdb.journal. Move them to your desktop, and then see if you can open iTunes. If iTunes opens, that file should be recreated upon updating your Genius information, so, when that's done, you should be good to delete the file on your desktop.

DRC - I had already tried that, but didn't work.

Anyhoo, I got tech support on the phone - only difference was they told me to uninstall EVERY single Apple app from my computer. So that seemed to work!
