Should be an exciting game. It should really be a magnifying glass for how good or bad we are as a team right now. A win gets everyone back on board in our fight to win our division. A loss could show us how good the Rams actually are this year, and/or what we need in order to stay competitive in coming years.

Following week is a bye.

Then on to play Niners, who I would really fear. Gladly, the bye might either help us prepare or lull us to sleep via expectations of an easy game. It actually could be easy if our DL and LBs shut down Carlos Hyde, while PP is blanketing Garçon all day.

No excuses. Lay it all out there. Have plenty of time to rest after. Stay away from turnovers and no big returns.

Stay away from the pubs you mean haha. I do like the fact we are leaving for London early while the Rams are going to leave for the game at the last moment. I think on the normal road game the team is going to start leaving a day before to avoid distraction but for an oversea trip, allowing the team time to assimilate is right :)

Really afraid at the thought of Tyrann covering Cooper Kupp.

Kupp is good, but really nothing special. Every team nowadays has their sneaky slot WR who moves the chains. It's not like Kupp is dominating or something like that. Rams should be afraid of covering Fitz, Brown and Nelson while AP runs down their throats. I love the matchup!

I will temper my enthusiasm for this week. So far games in London have been blowouts and I don't see this one being any different. The Cardinals have not traveled well historically so that is a factor that works against them.

+1.

At this point, I would rather not hear Mathieu's name during the game broadcast anymore. He is no longer the play maker, so I judge Mathieu these days on how much I do NOT hear his name.

As long as he does his job, and doesn't cost this team on 3rd down, then I am fine with Mathieu for the rest of the season.

Heck, he takes a pay cut at the end of the season, I have no problem keeping Mathieu on the team. He has not been lights out, but he has been solid as of late.

I am more interested in what the Cardinals do coming out of the bye, than this game in London. With all the change, instability, and inconsistency this team has dealt with in the first half of the season, I cannot see a complete change in venue, sleeping schedules, etc., etc. benefiting the Cardinals.

If they win? Fantastic. If they lose? Meh.

It is what this team does over the bye week, what changes and modifications to the team's philosophy and personnel will shape this season, IMO.

I wouldn't say he is completely beyond hope. But, he has always been a little guy hitting bigger guys as hard as he can.

Not a good formula for a long career.

Maybe not completely beyond hope, but as I said, right now, he looks super rough.

Totally agree, not very optimistic about the Cards winning this. Hard to remember when Palmer had a good game on the road.

Not optimistic? Did you guys see any of the rams games this year? Their defense is just as “bad” if not worse than ours. Also their “explosive” offense is no more productive than we have been. Granted they’ve scored more points, but that’s a product of having all their guys the whole time.

I would call 10 more points per game fairly substantial and factoring in they have allowed 3 less points per game ends up as a 13 point differential. That's 2 TD per game. They also have 20 sacks to the Cardinals 11 and have allowed only 9 while our illustrious line has given up 21. Scoring more points is what wins games.

They should be statistically better when they have had the starting LT and RB the whole time.

Haha. That’s not just “statistically better” that’s kicking our ass statistically.

They had better not be lulled, the point difference in EVERY 9ers game this season after their first game was 3 points (which includes games against us, Rams and Seahags) ...

This game comes down to who can stop the run or not, can we stop Gurley or can they stop AP. If it's a close game, it favors the Rams because our Special Teams is poop on the floor and the Ram's are a clean set of silverware at a ***** restaurant. In a strange way our defense as far as getting pressure actually might be an advantage because I still see Goff as a system's QB, meaning quick initial decision making opposed to sitting in the pocket and adhering to a play developing. Us not getting pressure with our DL might be a good thing, give him time to think and make a mistake lol

This isn’t a road game, it’s a neutral sight. Road games are tough because the crowd works against you. With more name players on the Cardinals, I fully expect the crowd to be pro Arizona. This is a winnable game. I say we come out on top.

Rams are 3-0 on the road, with the crowd against them.

You’re missing the point. This is more about how the Cardinals have performed on the road. Which is poorly. We lost to loud, boisterous crowds in Philadelphia & Detroit. Losing at home against Dallas was almost like playing a road game. The crowd in London is hardly boisterous. Btw, that Ram’s road record includes wins at Jacksonville, SF, and Oakland. Jacksonville & SF are quiet road venues & Oakland was missing their QB & have a hideous D.
