The Kobayashi of Kool-Aid
This is how I see this years draft playing out, at least the first 11 picks.
1. Houston: Reggie Bush - Best player on the board, and a guy that David Carr will be able to share concussion stories with as they still have no O-Line to slow down teams from running unabated into the backfield.
2. New Orleans: D'Brickashaw Fergusson - With pickup of Brees, no need for a QB. Grant and Will Smith make Mario Williams a luxury they can't afford.
3. Tennessee: Vince Young - Chow want' Leinart; but, he doesn't get to make the pick. Jeff Fisher taps Vince for the Titans, who will see a lot of playing time this year behind "Duck-Tape" McNair.
4. NY Jets: Matt Leinart - Two small children are injured as the Jets bolt toward the podium to get their man without having to give up additional picks to move up.
5. Green Bay: A.J. Hawk - The kid belongs on the "Frozen Tundra". Too bad GB is heading for a decade as a cellar dweller in the NFC North.
6. San Francisco: Mario Williams - The first steal of the draft is getting Mario at 6. Williams will wreak havoc on the great offenses of the Cards, Rams, and Hawks. (Notice I listed the Cards first!!!)
7. Oakland: Vernon Davis - Al stays with offense and Vernon Davis is a rare offensive weapon that will keep the "Black Hole" happy for a long time.
8. Buffalo: Brodrick Bunkley - The Bills are still trying to replace Sam Adams and Pat Williams. Bringing in free agent Larry Tripplet was a start and Bunkley completes the task.
9. Detroit: Mike Huff - After Paul Tagliabue denies Detroit's first pick, stating an obscure rule that prohibits teams from drafting the same skill position four years in a row, the Lions resubmit their card with Mike Huff to help bail out their defense.
10. Arizona: Winston Justice - Disappointed that Vernon Davis is gone, the RedBirds look to continue improving an O-Line that cost the team 4-5 wins last year.
11. St. Louis: Jay Cutler - Without Martz around to keep protecting Marc Bulger, the new staff brings in their guy to spend the season training Cutler to become the next face of the organization.
