This is obviously not what it looks like. Even if the players do get patted down entering the stadium, it would not be by NFL game officials. It's not their job.

When I attended the Cards/ Rams game I went around and waited for the players to come out of the stadium and board the buses. i was surprised to see all the players patted down before they were allowed to exit.
I kinda wondered what the heck that was all about.
