32. Cardinals

Consecutive sellouts: 20 | Season-ticket waiting list: 2,500

The team's new stadium has helped draw sellout crowds, but the franchise faces challenges. Too many football fans in the region had already latched onto other NFL teams, notably the Cowboys, by the time Bill Bidwill brought the Cardinals to the desert in the 1980s. Mismanagement and losing seasons kept fans away. The franchise is on an upswing and the fans are responding, but the Cardinals must win to turn skeptics into full-fledged believers.

Doesnt make sense to me. Is it the number of fans on the fan base they are judging? If so they got it wrong the cowboys and packers have more fans nationwide than the Steelers (according to sales).

The only other way to gauge it is the passion of the fans that are there and the cards would be #1. You have to be passionate and loyal to follow a team that destroys your soul year after year.

 So? You certainly wouldn't be able to tell that by the passionate fans here at ASFN.

I guess I try to be one of the worst of the worst. I support the team, at home, at games and at work. I spend money on tickets (going from 2 to 4 season tickets this year) and on team paraphernalia. I think the AZ Cardinals and their fans represent our state and city. I must live here because I hate it so much.

Help me, help us, be even worse fans this year. Bring a red bandana (aka "nest protector") to the games and wave it to show how ashamed you are of your Cardinals. Bring extras for your friends so they can be really bad fans too. I won't be happy until ESPN shows Cardinals' fans and says "Wow, look at all those Cardinal fans, they are so red and loud. They are horrible fans."

I'm on the "who cares" bandwagon. I got all the fans I need right here and on Sundays!

Nope you measure it to sell and they could care less about selling to us.

Though way the Repulsive thought that had to put this on the front page is beyond me

Oh, yeah?

There's no better, more informative and more passionate board in the NFL than ASFN.

I'd put us up against any of the other fans...and we have been with our team through thin and thinner.

yeah I seen that list before, its all bs. 49ers are ranked 24, yet have 259 consecutive sellouts while the Raiders have only 4 and rank 9. Its stupid...

Cardinals

It is tough when a team has changes cities a few times. This is anecdotal but I am the commissioner of an online football league that uses a computer football simulation to play football games online and we been going strong for five years now playing seasons from the 60s and 70s (will be moving into the 80s and 90s soon). It is extremely difficult to get someone to coach the Cardinals. They did have some good teams back in those days but among the customer base there are not alot of Cardinal fans. The other two teams I have problems filling are the Falcons and Lions. There are fewer fans for those franchises and the ones out there are not passionate enough about their franchise to replay old seasons. On the other hand, I have waiting lists for guys interested in coaching Dallas, Green Bay (even in the lean years), Oakland, Seattle, Baltimore, New England, Buffalo, and Kansas City. The Colts have moved and there is still alot of guys who are interested in coaching their teams. I'm not sure how many from STL still fondly remember the Cards.
