I’m not a big fan if this plan. It has the cards hiring a guy who has very little experience coordinating an offense much less being a head coach.
Then we’re using draft capital to trade up and draft a small, average armed project at Qb who will likely be on the board at 15 after signing tyrod Taylor.

Mitch, sit back, have a scotch and re-think this.

I prefer Absolut. There will be more plans. I like Mayfield a lot. So does Harry. But, I can see why you and others don't.

I believe Cbus, that putting the QBOF in the best possible hands should be top priority. I think it is that important. I was hoping MB and SK would feel the same. But, who knows?

I'm down with Flip over Armstrong or Flores. Haley OC. I would prefer Allen over Mayfield.

I want this to happen. Will take an avatar bet that Haley will punch Flip during a game on TV.

This quotes embodies valley sports.

They beat you into submission one way or another.
Wilks secondary played a solid part in our high flying biscuit offense only scoring 15 points in the NFC Championship game.

I like the plan I just don't see Chicago giving up the eighth pick for 15, 79, and next years third. It's probably close on the draft chart numbers, but I think over the last few year teams have been paying a premium to move up, especially when that move up is for a QB. I can't any team giving up a top 10 pick for less than two first's...plus.

Because of all they gave up to move up to get Trubisky last year, I think the Bears would take a deal like this. Plus, they were happy to deal with us last year in the Budda Baker trade.

Mitch is right. The draft value is in ball park as per NFL draft value calculator in this trade scenario. I think Bears might need next year's 2nd round pick instead of 3rd. I am fine with it.

I like Mayfield if he is there at #15 but I wouldn't be willing to give up a huge draft pick package to move up to get him. I would take Lamar Jackson at #15 and develop him for a couple of years while we have Taylor starting.

Not a fan of Mitch's FA & draft because neither sufficiently addresses the CB and OT spots as I feel Veldheer is gone if he doesn't take a pay cut (he won't).

Taylor, Trumaine Johnson & Zack Brown would be my big outside FA's acquisitions. I would go OT in Round 2, I like Jemarco Jones because I feel he can start at RT if Veldheer is cut and could slide to LT when Humphries goes down with an injury. I would add OL depth with the later draft picks to include C & OG (probably could get a starter late in the draft). Good teams have quality depth because injuries happen and you need to field NFL talent, not guys not suitable to be on a PS.
