Don't see Ryan Williams not making the roster if he stays healthy. Also, Levi Brown will make it as, imo, four OT's give us great flexibility/insurance. Dray has been our best blocking TE and w/o a FB, someone has to play HB and I'm guessing it's Dray. Dray has also been vg on ST's. And at this point the #4, #5 and #6(?) WR's are up for grabs, and I'm still guessing Dillard makes the team, with the accent on guessing.
I don't see us going to war with only 3 RB's - Mendy, Ryan W, Ellington and Taylor should all stick.

I'm nowhere sold on Levi as our starting LT - another risky example of reputation trumping production. It's heartening that Potter is said to have added 10 pounds of muscle, but will still have to prove he can get it done as a starter. If neither guy steps up, I'd hope the loser between Winston and Massie makes the switch to the left side. Protecting Palmer is what it's all about.

I agree that we're still a bit wobbly at TE and would feel a lot better if two of those guys could play H-Back (especially since the blocking demands decrease neck-lengths by 2-3 inches.

I bet that we don't go with just two QB's. I guess since Lindley has played so poorly the Cards could make him one of the last cuts and not worry about another team picking him up. Then if needed he would be sitting there to re-signed.

I agree with Jeff G that we will have 4 RB's on the roster. Early TC reports indicate that Ryan Williams is back to his old self so barring injury he's on the team.

Cardinals awarded TE Mickey Shuler on waivers

The Cardinals announced Sunday the addition of tight end Mickey Shuler on waivers from Buffalo.

Shuler, 26, has played for the Vikings, Bengals, Dolphins, Raiders and Bills since entering the NFL as a seventh-round pick of Minnesota in 2010.

Shuler’s addition gives the Cardinals seven tight ends on their roster. By contrast, the club does not have a single player listed fullback.

According to a count of players on the Cardinals’ online roster, Arizona is now at the 90-player limit.

Does Abraham have the size to be a 3-4 DE?

Or would he be better served to be our weakside OLB?

Or does Bowles design weird fronts and situational schemes to best suit Abraham's talents?

Don't you think he's being brought in as a situational pass-rusher?

Players moving into closer 53 man roster consideration:

WR Dan Buckner---strong, sure-handed and productive
TE Mickey Shuler (just added)---can block and has 4.63 speed
G Paul Fanaika---stonewalled Dockett yesterday, coaches see upside
CB Bryan McCann---making his fair share of plays

Add:

RB Alfonso Smith
WR Kerry Taylor
S Curtis Taylor

Question Marks:

RB Ryan Williams
T Levi Brown
G Daryn Colledge
TE Alex Gottlieb
TE Jeff King

After reading about that, I will be watching his number in this preseason.

However you have to wonder what's this guy been doing for the last 3 years?

Has he been stuck behind someone elite or just hasn't done well enough in practice to earn a starting role?

I looked him up this morning and he was not in the NFL last year and he is 27 years old. I will be rooting for him, but I am not sure he makes it past the third PS game.

I think the Cardinals would not be taking too much of a risk by putting him on the practice squad. Cause Earl Watford is going to make the final 53. He may be inactive every game, but when you draft a raw player like that, you have to have it in your mind to invest some time in the player, or why draft him at all ?

You talking bout the team that drafts guys with scrambled eggs for brains, knowing he had no shot at a roster spot? And the team that keeps wasting 2nd rounders on RBs? :D

Just for fun.. savings if these guys are cut:

(roughly)
RB Ryan Williams $244k
T Levi Brown $800k
G Daryn Colledge $450k
TE Alex Gottlieb 405k
TE Jeff King $1.5M

Granted these are just comparing their cap hit to dead money this season. For true cap # analysis you'd have to consider guaranteed money and bonuses etc.
