I took note of the following from the article on Huff's signing:
"More important to Pendergast, adding defensive end Chike Okeafor, safety Robert Griffith and now Huff gives the Cardinals the roster makeup that will make his creative defenses work better than last season. "

The issue is not Hayes or Huff... it's perhaps more - Hayes and Huff.
Last year, amongst a myriad of defensive schemes, we ran three man fronts with 4 linebackers.
So, I can easily imagine Hayes and Huff on the inside and Dansby and Darling on the outside.
