Cardinals and Chipotle Mexican Grill Raise $10,000 for Charity
Bill Gramatica, Big Red and Nathan Hodel serve up lunch at Chipotle to raise money for Cards Charities
During the lunch hour, Cardinals players Damien Anderson, Steve Bush, Bill Gramatica, Quentin Harris, Nathan Hodel, Kevin Kasper, Kenny King, Preston Parsons, Adrian Wilson, and LeVar Woods joined cheerleaders and Big Red at five different Valley Chipotle Mexican Grills.
The players made burritos and served customers to help raise money, as Chipotle donated all proceeds from the two-hour lunch period to Cardinals Charities.
“I have eaten my fair share of Chipotle and I never imagined I’d be behind the counter trying to make a burrito,” laughed Parsons. “Bush and I actually got fired for a few minutes because we were slowing things up and the line backed up on us.”
Gramatica, who grew up working in his family restaurant, felt a little more at ease behind the counter than some of his teammates.
“The customers were a lot more patient,” shared Gramatica. “My dad used to crack the whip on us, but today was all in good fun so the managers here went easy on us.”
Thanks to the players help and the generosity of Chipotle, Cardinals Charities will receive a check for $10,000!
