We do not need a WR coach, we need a Speed coach to see if there is any way to get Boldin or Fitz to run faster...oh wait, we have speed burner Johnson...surrrrre we do.
Not only is he fast but man what hands too!!!!

Sounds to me like the guy was ready to be promoted to WR's coach. I think his resume sounds pretty good.
Who else would you have liked to have seen in his place?
Ready to be promoted to WR coach after a month of doing nothing? How does that possibly scan for you?
You do ask a good question about whom I'd rather see in his place, though. It's hard to say, since not a lot of NFL teams list their lower assistant coaches on their depth charts. I just think that it's a little odd that we couldn't find anyone to take that job, and so we promoted a guy who hadn't done anything yet. There were guys who hit the street after Whis was hired (like San Diego's offensive staff and Miami's offensive staff). Why couldn't the Cards compete for those guys?
3/5Translation: Things have been going pretty good and I don't have anything else to complain about right now. I should be able to milk this until the draft.

Nice one 40.
"How does that scan for me?" What, are you from the future or something?Ready to be promoted to WR coach after a month of doing nothing? How does that possibly scan for you?

I'm not basing ANYTHING on his one month with the organization. I'm looking at his resume and saying I wouldn't have blinked if he was named the WR coach from day-1. Based on his work experience, it sounds to me like the guy is probably ready to be a WR coach. That's all.

Because the guy they liked better was fired? Then why wasn't he hired as one from the beginning? Why was he not good enough to be named WR coach then but suddenly is?

I don't see where you are going with this. I thought the guy "who got fired" was fired by the Cards....And then opted not to take this job? Do you see where I'm going with this?
Missouri State??? woot. woot. that's my alma mater.

I wonder if Ricky Proehl would make a good WR coach. 17 years in the NFL with 6 different teams he surely would have learned a trick or two.
Like a guy who wasn't just promoted because they couldn't find anyone better? Maybe a guy who had some experience as a WR coach in the past at any level? I mean, I don't really need to see Jerry Sullivan back, but wasn't there anyone else who could continue to develop our most important offensive assets? No one else wanted this job?
Ah... I was gone for that whole deal. I didn't know it was him. Carry on...
They always have to start somewhere. I'm not too worried. I mean, the WR position should be the least of our worries.
We don't know who applied.
You don't think Bryant Johnson, Spurlock, Watkins, McCoy etc could use additional coaching to improve their games? The WRs go deeper than just Boldin and Fitzgerald.
Mr B liked me though. I told him I would work for free.
