Beat the Rams and they have a legit shot at the playoffs. The question then becomes if they bring DJ and Carson back this year. None of the teams ahead have an easy finish to the year save for Detroit.

So having a chance and reality are two different things. But they still have a chance.

If CP comes back, the year is done. If he comes back in 2018, 2018 is done before it starts. You can no longer be a 'statue' QB in the NFL. You will either be injured or simply overwhelmed. CP would have done well in the 70s or 80s, maybe been recognized as an All Time Great. Not any more.
If Gabbert actually (and I give him a good chance) beats the RAMS, then we can cling to a thread of hope week by week. Either way, I am forever grateful to him for giving me a good reason to watch my favorite team on Sunday (which feeling, had pretty much withered).

Yeah, but what does the DVOA say ? If we finish the year with the best DVOA, even if we finish 5-11, as long as we have the BEST DVOA, it means we WON FOOTBALL !!! YEAH !! Just ask any Seattle fan, where DVOA is the Koran, Bible, and Dianetics all rolled into one !!! Win the DVOA and you won football !!!

Yeah. As much of a chance as the Browns had at 0-10. Yes, they still had a chance at that point.

In the modern, non-strike, 16 game era, the worst record to make the playoffs was the 2010 Seattle Seahawks at 7-9 .... so how a 0-10 Browns team could have a chance is like saying, well, I can't think of anything that that is like saying, it just doesn't make any sense.
Now, do we have a 'realistic; chance ? No. Do we need lots of lunacy to occur ? Of course, But it is a lot more possible than a 0-10 Browns team getting there, which just does not make any sense at all, no matter what lunacy you postulate in the standings. We are 5-6. If we go 10-6 we need a little help, still, from other teams, but it is NOT impossible and we do have to win out, but is, at least, mathematically and fanatically possible. The Browns ? No. Your argument is specious.

So you’re asserting that Blaine Gabbert is a better quarterback than Carson Palmer?
IMO if Gabbert beats the rams and also wins following games and did put us in playoff position, you do not bench him for the playoffs.

Just give up now. The uncultured mess that is our younger generation when it comes to movies is not even worth trying to fix.
There was a HUGE, blonde haired, blue-eyed, intern that came through the plant last summer, and since he had the same name as another intern I just called him Drago. He had no idea, and we live in the Philly area. I was all like, Rocky IV ? He had no clue.
I later found him and his friends on my lawn, and told them to get off it as well. LOL!

I'm raising my son on all the classics. Started with the Rocky's when he was 7-8 or so. Now that he's thirteen moved on to things like Smokey and the Bandit, Cannonball Run, Trains, Planes and Automobiles, etc. Cant wait until he is a little older to get to Animal House, Porkey's, and such.

I can't imagine a kid watching that movie now in this climate.
The point of the movie being that ALL the white people outside Gene Wilder's drunk were complete imbeciles and needed to be saved by minorities they treat like trash would probably go right over their heads.
