Hi Guys!!

Just signed up to this forum so I can keep learning about the american game as a Cardinals fan :)

First became interested in the NFL when i watched the 2008 Superbowl but when I watched the performance that the Cards gave the following year i adopted them as my team. In the past 3 months i have watched NFL Live almost every Sunday in England, which is normally the Green Bay Packers or the Steelers, so just wanted to know what the fans thought about their team. I noticed that Larry Fitzgerald is a pretty damn good player but who else should i watch out for when watching highlights and/or live feeds?

Lastly is there any other English/British fans on this forum? I did spot a Sunderland FC fan on here so make yourselves known so i dont feel exiled :D

Welcome to the board. I spent 3 years over there from 1985 - 1988 while in the US Air Force stationed at RAF Lakenheath. Have a couple of Guinness at the nearest pub.

Welcome to the boards. I just hope you know what you are getting into. The Cardinals aren't what you would call a "successful" team, unless you adopt our preferred meaning of the word, and root for the first pick in the draft every season.

I'm in the US Army and I want to go to England (RAF Molesworth) as my next assignment. But I'll get to see more games since I'll have AFN in my home :)

In the EPL I am a Fullham fan myself. Went to Craven Cottage for a game there in 1987.

Nice to see Dempsey get the game winner over the weekend. Although I'm kinda a Liverpool fan.

Is there any chance of that possibly happening? I never met anyone from the Army that was stationed in England in my generation. I was stationed in Germany. I'm not saying that it can't happen, but I am curious about your reply.

Bristol City, eh? Are they in the Championship right now? How are they doing, regardless of which league they're in. I'm a Newcastle United fan (my home town is New Castle, Pennsylvania, so it makes sense). We're flying high this year, though we've hit some bumps in the road recently.

I'll root for Fulham at least a little bit as long as Dempsey is there.

Oh, and since newbies do buy, I'll have a real plate of Fish and Chips, not a cheap American knock-off. Washed down with a few pints of Guinness, of course.

You all know that Guiness is a product of Ireland?

Lol.
