You all know that Guiness is a product of Ireland?

Lol.

I was thinking that, though we do some pretty good ale over here and sell a fair bit of Guiness.
Bristol City, eh? Are they in the Championship right now? How are they doing, regardless of which league they're in. I'm a Newcastle United fan (my home town is New Castle, Pennsylvania, so it makes sense). We're flying high this year, though we've hit some bumps in the road recently.

Started of shocking, but got a new manager and now steadily climbing up the championship table ;)

I have great mates in Rugby. As for who to watch. This year you should be watching

on Offense
Beane Wells #26 Running Back
Keven Kolb (pronounced Cob) #4 QB
Larry Fitzgerald #11 WR

On Defense

Calais Campbell #93 Defensive end
Darnell Dockett Defensive Tackle #90
Daryl Washington # 58 Line Backer
Patrick Peterson #21 Corner back

Special teams ( kicking situations)
Patrick Peterson on punt returns has 4 touchdowns of over 80 yards
Larod Stephens-Howlings #36 on kick offs has been great in this spot
Dave Zastudiil # 9 Punter has played very well

Welcome to Cardinals come often.

Cheers.

Welcome aboard bcfc105. It's always nice to see new fans of the Big Red. Most of us (old timers) have suffered the decades of futility that results from being a Cardinals fan. I've two wishes for you. One-----that you won't have to endure the same futility as us oldsters have had to endure. Two-----that we both get to see the Cards win a Super Bowl.

So far as players to watch, if you enjoy stellar defense, then Darnel Dockett, (#90), and Calais Campbell, (#93) are two who will stick their noses in the toughest spots and stop the opponent from scoring on us. If its offense you like, then Beanie Wells, (#26) would be a bright spot for you. Although he is playing on an injured knee right now, he is still a beast, carrying the ball for us. That should get you started, and should help you to focus where the action is when these guys are on the field. I hope that you get a lifetime of pleasure from following the Red Birds. If you need help, do not hesitate to ask for it. The members of this board are very hospitable.

Yeah...and I've drank from the taps in the brewery itself (the bar taps at both the Brewery and the Factory). That doesn't mean England doesn't have a lot of Guinness on tap, and at a higher quality than what we have over here.

Started of shocking, but got a new manager and now steadily climbing up the championship table ;)

Any chance of climbing into one of the playoff spots?

Thanks guys! I hope we can at least make another superbowl soon, that 4th quarter comeback against the steelers had me on the edge of my seat, even if i didnt fully understand what was going on back then! Thankfully have a much better idea of the rules now and beginning to understand plays a bit better thanks to hours of Madden 11 :D

How hospitable are the fans on here? Hospitable enough to save me a couple of hundred dollars on a hotel if i came over for a game? ;)

There is a chance, but any chance of promotion is extremely unlikely until next season. We won just ONE of our opening 11 games, losing the majority. We just announced another £11 million loss this financial year too :/ :mulli:

Welcome aboard! :)

If you see an exceptionally tall 14 year old walking around Kent (Sittingbourne area) in Cardinals gear that's my nephew.

Bubble and squeak, please.

Is there any chance of that possibly happening? I never met anyone from the Army that was stationed in England in my generation. I was stationed in Germany. I'm not saying that it can't happen, but I am curious about your reply.

RAF Molesworth is where the JAC (Joint Analysis Center) is located; it is staffed with Army, Navy, Air Force, and some Marine Corps.

On the Army side of the house, we only have intel wienies stationed there.

That's one of the perks of NOT being a pog, we get great assignment choices and we don't tend to get shot at as much :)

Out of interest where in England did you go?

I was stationed at RAF Lakenheath in East Anglia. It was near Midenhall. Went to the cities of Ipswich, Cambridge, Norwich, and King's Lynn quite a bit. Loved the variety of beers over there.

I live in England too. My Dad was in the US Air Force (RAF Mildenhall) and retired over here when I was a teenager because my mom is English. Now my Dad has moved back to AZ and I am stuck here - that's what I get for marrying an English guy :p We'll move back to AZ eventually - I try and go back once a year :)

I went to University in Liverpool, so big Liverpool fan!

Good to see other Cards fans over here. I have been to the Wembley games and each year the number of Cards jerseys I see goes up!

Did you ever go to a live footy game? If so how does the atmosphere compare to an NFL Game? Or an NFL game to the wembley games?

I went to Sun Devil Stadium when we were there, and I've been to UoP too. I love UoP with the roof closed :D

The Wembley games are good fun but the atmosphere isn't as charged as a Cards game a UoP because there are so many neutrals. I think the best Wembley game was Saints/Chargers (I didn't go to this years because it was too last minute).

I've been to Anfield and sat at the Kop end - fantastic too!
