FISHER TO VISIT 'SKINS, CARDS

A league source tells us that Rams cornerback Travis Fisher will meet with the Redskins on Saturday and Cardinals on Sunday.

Fisher was the 32nd pick in the second round of the 2002 draft, and has spent his entire career with the Rams.

He has been limited by injuries over the past couple of years, but the fact that he already has two visits lined up shows that there's always a demand for cornerbacks with starting experience.

Yawn...they should trade for Jerametrius Butler instead. He is the only CB that STL had that could play but the new HC and he didn't get along.

JB had 4 int's in 2003, 5 in 2004. He had a knee injury and missed all of 2005 and then because of Haslett, only played in 7 games in 2006.

A career backup at best. The only good thing I can say about him is he can be had for REALLY Cheap.

He's marginally better than David Macklin, but if they both come here, this team will be better for it.

As long as we improve the pass rush. Funny how the St. Louis corners were all "exposed" after the Rams let two of their top three defensive linemen depart in free agency...

True. If he could be had for cheap I wouldn't mind him. Like you said though we need to generate a pass rush or all of our corners will look terrible.

No one's being had for cheap in this market. Especially not in the first couple weeks. But if he could be had for $3 million per season with $10 guaranteed, then that would probably be a market deal.

That's cheap for a corner back.

Especially if the Rumor is true that Clements just got a $23 million signing bonus.

According to MJ there will be visits before that.

Holt is coming in on Saturday and I believe he said someone was coming in today (I didn't hear the name)

Here is a positive way to look at Fisher, he is better than Robert Tate.

It appears Adrian Wilson and Holt played together for at least one season at North Carolina State....FWIW...

Holt would not be a bad signing. But say DB Meriweather is still there at the third round I wouldn't mind the Cards drafting him.

He is as talented as Tate except Tate is a known backup this knuclehead was a starter.

Tate has been very productive and solid for us.
