At $16.39 mil.
That’s very high and something to consider when thinking about how the franchise will move forward with regards to cutting and trading players.
Damn Steelers best us againConsidering the Steelers have 21 mill just for Brown??

16 mil is the cap hit for a top-tier skill position player. While all teams have dead money on their cap, 16 mil is ridiculous.Steelers trade of Brown I believe is bigger than our total team dead cap.
Its high, but as a percentage its only 8.7% of the cap. Another way to look at is we'd have about 1/3 more cap space t o spend (after of course our pre fa- free agents like Alford, etc)
Sucks, but not too bad.
Keim will likely be fired next season if we have another face-plant season.Just another reason Keim should’ve been fired & replaced by the Cowpies Will McClay! He’s built them back up & a huge voice for much of their successful drafts which are so much better than Keims draft picks. He bombed at almost every level last season imo.
Unless Keim hits big in FA & this draft he will be looking for a job within 2 years. I think Michael made a huge mistake in not adding McClay to replace Keim Time.
This is what happens when you have 3 different HC's in 3 years.
Steelers have had 3 head coaches in the last 50 years.
The team overinvested in order to keep the window open. Unfortunately, the window closed due to injury (mainly Palmer).16 mil is the cap hit for a top-tier skill position player. While all teams have dead money on their cap, 16 mil is ridiculous.
Funny to think we used to have a guy whose primary responsibility was to manage the cap.

not ideal, but not that big a deal
it goes away next year -- so that is 2020 cap room Keim can work with in crafting contracts
Why would Dallas have let him go anyway?Just another reason Keim should’ve been fired & replaced by the Cowpies Will McClay! He’s built them back up & a huge voice for much of their successful drafts which are so much better than Keims draft picks. He bombed at almost every level last season imo.

But we have the same GM through that time. This is what happens when you have 3 different HC's in 3 years.
To be fair people aren’t bitching about the now, but are more concerned about the the trends.Keim is doing a phenomenal job thus far this offseason and people are still bitching their heads off lol.
