Why would Dallas have let him go anyway?
Is he ever going to be the GM? You know that answer & I don’t think it changes once Jerry passes because of his son Stephen.

Reality says they can’t keep him without that title if he desires a GM position. If they strong armed him, he could ultimately resign or just walk away whenever he chooses. Bottom line is most teams at some point let potential GM candidates fulfill that role without a big mess

Point is that every time you have a head coach change there's always turn over on the roster and that in itself creates dead cap money.

It probably shouldn't for your highest-paid (read best) players, though. A ton of dead money means that you've over-extended your cap on players that you mis-evaluated.

That's okay sometimes, if it earns you a trip to the playoffs or the Super Bowl. But for a team coming off three consecutive seasons at or below .500 it pretty remarkable.

Bradford was a huge miss but glennon and Bethel are because of regime change.

I have a hard time believing that. This regime hasn't seen Bethel or Glennon take a single snap.

Glennon is not what KK wants in a back up and Vance Joseph obviously wants his own dude at safety plus Swearinger fell into our laps.

You don't think that the new staff hasn't watched a ton of film?

There wasn't much of a turnover between '17 & '18. Of course the QB position was a major change(complete change actually), but otherwise the roster wasn't a lot different between '17 & '18. In fact, we re-gained the services of DJ. No, this team fell on it's ass because of the bad coaching staff.

This is an exceptionally bad take.

John Brown
Jaron Brown
A Q Shipley
Jared Veldheer
Karlos Dansby
Earl Watford
Evan Boehm
Frostee Rucker
Tyrann Mathieu
Kareem Martin
Tramon Williams

You can try and make the argument that none of those guys are good or something, but it’s silly to assert that we didn’t have above-average turnover.

The only thing that bothers me about this is I count 9 of these players currently playing for other teams.
