Cardinals Preseason Television Reminder
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Friday, August 8, 2003

Tempe, Arizona — The Arizona Cardinals remind all fans
they have a new preseason television home. Watch AZ-TV
(channels 27 and 55 over the air, channel 13 cable) to
view the 2003 four-game preseason schedule.

Play-by-play voice Dave Pasch and color analyst John
Mistler, the team’s regular-season radio announcers,
will call the action for AZ-TV. Kent Derdivanis and
Doug Plank will describe preseason action on KDUS/KSLX
Radio (1060 AM/100.7 FM).

Fans in Las Vegas can watch all four preseason games
live on KFBT-TV (channel 33). Viewers in Tucson can
tune to Fox 11 (KMSB-TV) and UPN 18 (KTTU-TV).

The Cardinals open their four-game preseason schedule
at home against Dallas at 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 9.
AZ-TV will air the contest in prime time at 7 p.m. the
following day, Sunday, August 10. KMSB will carry the
game on August 10 at 10 a.m. in Tucson.

The team travels to San Diego for a 7 p.m. Saturday,
August 16 meeting with the Chargers. AZ-TV, KFBT-TV and
KTTU-TV will carry the game live.

Arizona returns home for a 7:30 p.m. encounter with the
Chicago Bears on Friday, August 22. AZ-TV will carry
the game the following day in prime time at 7 p.m. on
Saturday, August 23. KTTU-TV will broadcast the game on
Saturday, August 23 at noon.

The Cardinals conclude their preseason schedule at
Minnesota at 5 p.m. local time on Thursday, August 28.
AZ-TV, KFBT-TV and KTTU-TV will carry the game live.

Direct TV does not carry AZTV yet. In fact, neither does the Dish Network.

The best bet for satellite dish owners is to disconnect the system and watch AZTV over the air. You will most likely need to break out thosae rabbit ears and tune to channel 27 or 55.

If you have a cable system such as Cox, you can find it on channel 13 in the valley.

If you are unsure avbout where to find AZTV, please refer to their Channel Finder at this link:

Wrong. I tried it last night, and it's "no go". Just hope they get the signal boosted before the San Diego game. But, that was supposedly going to be done before June was over, so I'm not holding my breath.

I'm east of Goldfield road. But, I was also at my friends yesterday who lives off of Signal Butte, and he couldn't get it either.

He has Direct TV, I have DISH.

So, what was up with this channel choice anyhow?

AJ -- you may want to check your TV -- I had to into the TV's menu (its a Sony) and toggle between "Cable" and "Antenna" before anything above Channel 12 came in

best of luck

Is that considered Apache Junction? Damn...it sounds like you are in the black hole of coverage. Have you tried Mesa? It is channel 57 with the rabbit ears.

Thanks for the advice, but it just doesn't come in out here. I get 61, 48, 51, etc, I even get two Tucson stations (not Ch 11 in Tucson though).

Oh well, if I have to, I'll go back to the days of primeval savagery and listen on the radio. It's only two preseason road games.

Did I say anyone? I mean most everyone. It is like ajcardfan is in the eye of the hurricane where he doesn't get a signal!

I live in Tempe at Baseline and Hardy. I have an outside antenna. I was getting a real snowy version of channel 27, but for the past two days, channel 27 has been blank. I can get a very bad channel 57, but it's not worth watching.

Since My Dishnetwork...doesn't carry AZ-TV got out the rabbit ears and went to work finding a good signal....for the replay tonight. IF I was at Lambeau it would be a good game because of all the snow I have to watch it thru. However in Arizona this totally sucks.... What fan base are they trying to capture with this bonehead move. When you spend for NFL Ticket...preseason should be on the docket as well. ...Just Stupid. Should have went to mexico this weekend rather than trying to break down tape thru the blizzard.....:(

I hear ya Rats, the station is the worst one they could've picked. I can get any other station. I have DISH as well. According to AZTV 1) the signal boost and 2) becoming a local channel on DISH network COULD, MAYBE happen this week.

That's a small ray of hope, but there's not much to do for it tonight.

What?
Which channel are you trying to pick up 57 or 27? 57 is a total snowjob that stinks but when I switched to 27 and adjusted my home made rabbit ears I get a perfect picture here in Tempe.

Try switching to 27, Hope that helps.

This really sucks for us out of towners but living in AZ, there is a decent fan base up here in the white mtns and we can't get anything, almost like a regular season home game, except during the season I can pay the 200 bucks for the nfl ticket or drive 200 miles one way to go watch a home game, another one of my *******, I know the Cards have nothing to do with it, but why people who live 200 miles away can't get all the games televised is beyond me.

Did the Cardinals choose to go with AZ-TV, or did Fox 10 who broadcasted the games last year choose not to renew with the Cardinals this year?

I decided to try it one more time, and it IS coming in. The picture sucks, but at least I can tell what is going on.

Houdini, I don't think we'll get an answer to that question. I'm sure money played a role in the decision.
