The Arizona Republic confirms that ex-Eagles coach Andy Reid is no longer a candidate to coach the Cardinals.

With a deal all but done in Kansas City, Reid has reportedly canceled trips to Arizona and San Diego. Although there was strong mutual interest between Reid and the Cardinals early on, talks apparently broke down over ex-Browns GM Tom Heckert, whom the team did not want to hire. The Cards will turn their attention to DC Ray Horton, Broncos OC Mike McCoy, Steelers OC Todd Haley, and others.
