In college he was a RB in 04 wth only like 150 yards to his name. In 05 they made him into a reserve LB and had 10 tackles playing for the kickoff unit. In 06 he was a RB again and gained only 40 something yards. All three seasons were cut short due to injury. He has been on a NFL team for a grand total of 1 Month.

Hopefully he did come at the right price!

Seriously though.. perhaps Vincent will accomplish more than former Lions cast-offs Larry Foster and Terrence Holt combined!

Thats why we had to pick him up before someone started him against us. He would have had a career day with 200 + yards and 4 TD'S.

No team takes 83 starters to camp. Chris Vincent is the kind of player worth inviting as a camp body.

His whole college career and pro career have been a weird sequence of ankle injuries. He might very well be injury prone and unsuited for the NFL. If so, we cut him in the first cut and lose nothing.

Reading about the injuries, they've been different, not the same one recurring. If I remember correctly, he's injured both ankles, had a bad sprain in each and a break another time. Weird.

People don't remember this but Joe Montana's career at Notre Dame was the same way. From memory, a shoulder dislocation, a torn muscle in his forearm and assorted other aches. It's part of the reason why he played only 1 year as a full time starter. Again, weird stuff.

This is not to suggest Vincent has that kind of upside. It just means I think he's worth a look and apparently the Cards scouts think so too.

Yeah and they've been pretty sucessful with some of the UFDA's they've brought in the last couple of years. It's about time that sows ear turns into a beautiful swan (or something like that).:D

Look, we get it, 40...you were Sun Tzu's godfather. You don't have to keep throwing around those crazy, impossible to translate Chinese sayings just to keep proving it :D
